I'm glad you stated that this was your opinion because it certainly is NOT a fact. As a a deaf person, I hate it when people treat me as if I'm handicapped. I'm no victim, and most deaf people I know don't consider themselves victims either.

So, if I understand this correctly, the deaf are protesting a deaf person being elected president by the deaf board of trustees????

They don't think the person is "deaf enough." She learned how to speak and didn't learn sign language until she was 23.
