If Republicans keep the House by one vote, will they finally move to Canada like they've been threatening for 6 years?

I can't get over the original post--what is this bullsh*t about "no good jobs or education"--on what freakin planet are these people living?

The Democrats will win FOR SURE in November because Mark Foley is gay.

The current prevailing wisdom in a nutshell.

They see . . . the end to Social Security, . . . no health care or higher education. . . .

I would LOVE to see the end of FEDERAL involvement in retirement pensions (Social Security), health care, and higher education. NONE of those powers have EVER been delegated to the federal government in the Constitution (see the Tenth Amendment). Mandatory wealth-redistribution schemes--programs forcibly taking money from some citizens to give it to other citizens--are forms of involuntary servitude.

Unfortunately, the current crop of Republicans posing as conservatives (in Congress and in the WH) don't have the balls to cut the federal Leviathan back toward anything resembling the Constitution. They are Democrats Lite.

HOWEVER, if you DUmmies think for a MINUTE that I will stay home and NOT vote and thus let the REAL Democrats take over--who would be 50 times WORSE--then you've got a NOVEMBER Surprise waiting for you.

Remember, conservative Republicans don't talk to pollsters--but we do vote.

Get ready for another big "outing" of another Florida Republican. I was sort of listening in on some Florida Democrat operatives over the weekend and they definitely have another outing in the works. Oh, and it will be STRICTLY for political reasons. I'm not naming the Florida Republican but their "outing" will be happening between now and Election Day. This is Lawrence O'Donnell's contribution to the political process.

Yet we all think the repukes will steal this election.

So if the Republicans win, it must be a stolen election. Nice way to shield yourself from reality.

Of course, a robust economy, falling gasoline prices, and Bush's aggressiveness in going after terrorists, in contrast to Clinton's IMPOTENCE--none of those things could possibly factor into people actually WANTING to vote for Republicans over Democrats, could they?

I won't be surprised if November 8, 2006 at DU is filled with posts about how Republicans stole the 2006 election and stopped Democrats from gaining control of either House.

November Non-Surprise.

benburch, we do NOT want to hear again about how loose your sh** is, okay? Keep your personal problems to yourself.

Extra Credit Question: Has benburch IM'd Mark Foley yet?

IOW, gridlock.

Two years of nothing happening--which might be not such a bad thing.

there will be madness if the Dem candidates who poll strongly are not elected. . . .

You're forgetting: Conservative Republicans don't talk to pollsters, but we vote. DUmmiecrats do talk to pollsters, but they don't always turn out and vote.

39 posted on 10/09/2006 7:22:43 AM PDT by Charles Henrickson (So DUmmies, be sure to VOTE on NOVEMBER 8!!!!!!!!)

IF you vote, please, allow yourself to be interviewed and polled about your choice if someone should ask.

So this is how you get 70% Democrat exit polls and then 48% actual results: DUmmies desperately SEEK OUT pollsters to talk to, while quiet Republicans just vote and avoid the pollsters.
