Lieutenant Dan has been cool for as long as anyone can remember.

Except when he was on American Idol a couple of years ago. (See the archived AI threads to get this one.)

As it is, they've alienated the millions helped by Hezbollah and Hamas's more popular social wings.

Right, Fatima the Bomb Magnet just burned all her Nicole Kidman DVD's.

I absolutely support their social arm because the USA certainly doesn't support helping these people in the least!

Yeah, the US doesn't give aid to Palestine or Lebanon. < / Sarcasm >

Can't CUT if you aren't giving.

US President Bush’s national security advisor Condoleezza Rice has warned that the US would cut off aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA) if Yasir 'Arafat is reelected in the coming elections scheduled for January 2003. Echoing President Bush’s charge of corruption against the PA Ms Rice said: “I don’t think anyone wants to give assistance to a leadership where we don’t know what’s happening to the money. We see no reason to put that money into hands where it might be misspent.” Last year the US disbursed $114mn to Palestinian aid projects through the UN (via UNWRA), the World Bank and NGO’s. The US is currently UNWRA’s largest single donor and has promised an extra $30mn this year in addition to providing $80mn for the agency’s general fund of $300mn for 2002.

"Dick Donner" sounds like a porno name

LOL. That would be the Richard Donner who produced LETHAL WEAPON, THE OMEN, X-MEN, and a bunch of other hits back in the day.

Seeing this ad doesn't make me want to go out and buy a ticket but it is a necessary step for SOME prominent people in the (entertainment) media to challenge the mass media's stupid assertion that Hezbollah and Hamas are NOT evil, antisemiticm, or terrorist organizations.

Maybe it'll highlight some people who "get it" who can fund or network somebody to get some films, documentaries, etc. produced. So far we are only getting art films about Al Jazerra, Bush Knew, and Gitmo is bad (as shot in Iran).

Patricia Heaton is also against abortion and therefore "superstitious" in their eyes.

Funny how the DUmmies support Islamic fundamentalism while deriding Christian "fundamentalism".

Can't call a terrorist a "terrorist" but they can call Bush "Hitler" no matter what he has (or hasn't) done.

Some of these names are not conservatives. They signed on to show support for Isreal and Jews in Hollywood. They want to keep working...

Wrong answer. Three reasons:

First, one does not have to be a conservative to recognize the evil of terror. One only has to be sane.

Second, do you understand how loopy you sound when you talk about Hollywood blacklisting libs? That's like the Green Bay Packers blacklisting football players. I'd love to hear your explanation of what would convince these actors that they're gone if they don't run the right newspaper ad.

Third, and most important, this is a dangerous step for them. While terrorists are never going to be fond of anybody from Tinseltown, after the Muhammad cartoon riots and the murder of Van Gogh, these people have to know that they could be made an example. Any public appearance they make is now more dangerous, especially if they go to Europe. Sure, it's nothing compared to the danger that a soldier accepts, but pampered millionaires don't put themselves at risk for the purpose of adding a few more millions.

Be honest with yourself: if these people had run an ad saying "We condemn Israel's murder of Lebanese children" and the DUmmies praised them, would you say "Wow, they're wrong but they have conviction because there are so many Jews in the entertainment industry," or would you dismiss it as the usual Hollywood lib crap?

So, "parroting the monkey king" is a bad thing when he says that terrorism is bad and that we should support democracy.

Just realize that the DUmmies put party before country.

Therefore they live in Bizarroworld. "Bush am bad, Hezbos is good!"

The SAME crowd who repeatedly shout "war crime" have no such criticism for terrorists.

Considering most of them won't even call a terrorist a terrorist, we're supposed to believe they'd actually FIGHT against them? What a load!
---
You don't understand. We are the terrorists. On the right. The only ones they would actually bother to hate. They won't actually fight us, of course, because they won't leave Mom's basement.

That would actually explain a lot... ;)

Heh-heh! I love Superman in almost any version, but there's just something special about the old Curt Swan books. Well before my time, though.
