I love it when the DUmmies aim their venom at each other!

"If the "gifted" label bothers people, well, as far as I'm concerned, you can call it something with less positive value associated. How about "anxiety ridden, unhappy, isolated, can't figure out how to talk to other people outside of grad school group"? "

How about "barking moonbat"?

I can't stop laughing at the fact that Skinner has to entertain such foolishness from these gifted morons.

I can have high priority conversations on my cell phone ("Guess where I am? In my car!!! No, really! What are you doing?....."), surf FR, shave, and eat breakfast all at the same time that I'm driving.

I had a co-worker who would spread the morning paper over the steering wheel of her tiny little red 'people pod' and read while she drove to work on the interstate, in the center lane. She wore very thick glasses to see distance, and would take them off to read.

Terrifying. The difference between her and I is that I was *kidding* about multitasking while driving. OK, I sometimes have a cup of coffee on my morning commute, but that's it. :-)

Just renewed my license. There were two other people in the office. One couldn't see the number '9' counter from across the room, when the number '9' was over two feet tall. It took some wandering around and squinting for her to get there.

The other needed to be shown where the exit door was. "It's over there, ma'am. The door with the large red 'exit' sign on it. To your left. No, the other way. No, your LEFT! It's right in front of you. That door right there." And so on...the DMV guys finally got frustrated and guided her out.

Scary part was that all three of us received licenses. I'm still trying to block the experience out and not think about who is on the road with me.
