The Simcox fence idea was obviously meant to highlight the need for the federal government to protect our borders. If the Minutemen could succeed in building an adequate fence themselves, that would be beyond anyone's expectations. Supporters of the project know it's more of a PR call than anything, to get the government to act. No one expects a few civilians to be able to pull of what only the federal government can do: protect our borders from invasion.
Remember, that was the point of the Minutemen Project, et al, in the first place: to get the attention of our leaders.
Chris Simcox and Jim Gilchrist are an inspiring American success story of grassroots activism. They reminded us what we average folks can do to pressure government when it has failed in its role. They're just regular guys up against an enormous political machine, and they deserve our support.
It is the President of the United States and our liberal Senate, not a couple of guys like these, who should be feeling our heat. There really is no time to waste.
A) You were all over their antifreeper lies like flies on the manure pile. You obviously, from your own posts, not only agreed with the content, you agreed with the tactic.
B) There was nothing to refute. You, as usual, simply insinuate that there was. Insinuation is sufficient for folks like you who are trying to smear people.
It seems EV supports Simcox and is trying desperately to defend Simcox's lack of accountability, yet, EV who usues a whole lot of bandwidth here, doesn't appear on any on the donors to FR lists.
lapse = lax
hmmmmm,
Cal, you can't disguise your writing style, vocabulary, punctuation, etc.
hmmmmm.
LOL...
You have no idea what you are talking about.
What about the now-pulled post #152, which relied almost totally on the FEC website? It did mention a rumor the poster said he didn't believe.
You really are desperate, aren't you.
You're acting like a Clown.
So, your willingness to post about it would indicate what? That you're worse than a troll?
Your inability to accurately or honestly interpret FEC data is well known.
You're just too transparent. Hatred is eating you up.
Perhaps then you can help us interpret the FEC data. Tell us where we are going wrong
I have nothing against the Minutemen themselves. In fact, I support that mission.
Actually until these threads started, I didn't realize there were several Minutemen groups. I thought there was only one.
If the Minutemen could succeed in building an adequate fence themselves, that would be beyond anyone's expectations.
So you agree that Simcox's minutemen group doesn't plan to build a fence, it's all symbolic?
I really have trouble with the idea of them raising money "to build the fence" when they have no intention of doing so.
If they aren't going to build it, SAY they are spending the money to build bunkhouses for the volunteers or buy night vision equipment or whatever else they need to do. The misrepresentation is what bothers me.
I'm not real crazy about the high percentage of funds going to overhead rather than accomplishments in Simcox's parent organization either. It's of course impossible so far to see if the same pattern is followed with Simcox, but early signs aren't good.

I agree with that, too, and have been trying to do my part to pressure my elected officials and let them know where I stand. You notice Georgia is currently on the forefront as far as laws against illegals go?
You have no idea what you are talking about.
hmmmmmm, a typical comeback by you, Cal.
PAGT

It would indicate that unlike most of the information in the post, it did not come from the FEC website.
It was not the anti-FReeper information you don't want referred to.
As far as I could tell, it was just a harmless bit of gossip that the poster said was out there but that he didn't give much credibility to. Personally, I wouldn't have included it, but I didn't make the post.
By whom?
If it is well known, your inability to explain why I'm wrong is equally as well known. :-)
