This is one of the most absurd fallacies I keep hearing repeated in one fashion or another. To believe we'd simply fall over in obedience to anyone we were at war with for this type of reason defies logic and history. It would be interesting to see the world economy crash and hundreds of millions starve, if not billions, once the current entangled "global economy" were cut off from the US.

If China owned, oh say, an automobile company located in the US and dictated that it would no longer produce anything, I do not see exactly HOW they could enforce such an edict. It's a colossal misunderstanding of the nature of war, IMO.

I don't see Americans simply bowing down to anyone no matter who the "boss" is. It would basically be like starting our economy over from scratch again, IMO.
