Profiling? You mean they are profiling all of the illegals pouring into the country and weeding out some that fit a certain profile? That doesn't make sense. Would someone like Padilla be pulled out of the invading hordes, how do they do that?
And if they can bring the drugs into this country they can certainly bring other more deadly materials in as well.
First off no border is ever going to be 100% secure. Period.
Additionally your premise above is completely wrong. There is most certainly reasons in which bringing in drugs is very much different from bringing in WMDs, dirty bomb materials, etc.
And just as more was happening regarding the NSA leaked Op...more is happening on our borders then can openly be talked about. That is just a reality. Nor should those procedures be outed!
