It is a strange phenomenon that when performers reach a certain level, they truly believe that they're opinions about political matters should be heard. Take Brad Pitt. In 1997, he said this in TIME Magazine.

"You shouldn't speak until you know what you're talking about. That's why I get uncomfortable with interviews. Reporters ask me what I feel China should do about Tibet. Who cares what I think China should do? I'm a f---ing actor! They hand me a script. I act. I'm here for entertainment, basically, when you whittle everything away. I'm a grown man who puts on makeup."

Now, he campaigns for candidates and goes to economic forums in Switzerland. I think when actors get paid so much they truly start believing that they're really special, and that everything they say must be special...why else would people want to know everything about their lives and why else would photographers chase them down 24/7. Why else do we treat them like we do. We create these monsters.

My sister says that the Beatles are dying in order of talent. She also says Ringo is next to go.

Brian Wilson (and Dennis as well) has more talent in his toenail clippings than any combination of the Beatles, IMNTBHO.
