10:30 am But power consuption. Now discussing Peformance per Watt.
10:30 am New laptop computer.
10:30 am Today - MacBook Pro.
...but no matter what we did, the things only got eight minutes of battery life, and then burst into flames :)
Ad voiceover: "The Intel chip. For years it's been trapped inside ordinary PCs. Doomed to performing dull little tasks."
15" screen, dual core. It will be mine. Oh yes. It will be mine.
FYI, AAPL is up $5.04 right now....
It used to be that big news = drop in Apple's stock price. Hmmm...
Looks like the laptops, the iMacs, and every other CPU Apple will make for the foreseeable will be dual processor.
I was wrong again -- *this* is the biggest ***-kickin' a geek has given in years. The entire Apple line will migrate to Intel within the year.
So, the server is going to smoke, IOW.

1:28 PM - Video of Intel white-suiters inserting chip into Mac as if it were a big space launch
1:28 PM - "One more thing..."
1:28 PM - "You know, there's been this pesky little problem with PowerBooks..."

1:30 PM - PowerPC: 0.23 rating. Core Duo: 1.05. "Today we are introducing ... the MacBook Pro"
1:31 PM - "It's a new name because we're kinda done with power, and we want the name the Mac name in our products." The same dual-processor as the iMac in every model. This is hard to believe: 4-5x faster than the PowerBook G5. These things are screamers."
As soon as the galoot is done, I'm going to the local Apple Store, and maybe CompUSA.
Argh. I sold at $40, otherwise the profits would pay for more than a few PBsMBPs.
Heh... y'like it, eh? ;')
Tell ya what... in two or three months, when the 17" comes out, you'll probably be ready to sell that 15", and... ;')
Yeah... I sold quite a while ago... wish I had held on.
"Buy on mystery, sell on history".
I'm sure there'll be a letdown by the close of trade today, but only a small one.
However, the stock is pumped up a bit IMHO.
OTOH, this dual-core approach as standard equipment is going to juice sales.
Having Apple's as an Intel-based OS fences in Bill Gates' little outfit up in Redmond.
For a change (a *big* change) I'm impressed with Steve Jobs. Pass the koolaid.
Yeah, but I sold in the teens... :-(
the big finale, thanks to everyone:
