I have been getting prints FAR busier than this??? Is there anyone I can contact to get my points? I think something is seriously wrong.
Dang, this folding bug has bitten me... I want to climb higher then my measly single 3.5Ghz overclocked CPU will carry me. Well...and the kids 733PIII which is taking forever since its 1)A PIII and 2) kids use it. I'd like to put together a farm like these:

Wife and I pinky swore we'd live on rice and beans and beans and rice until the house is paid off, so I'll have to really scrounge for freebies or dirt dirt cheap old MBs, Pwr Supplies, and NICs if I want to do this. Companies gotta be retiring their old PIIIs and first gen p4s these days!?! I need to search around. More CPU Cycles Scotty!
heh, that's only a 129 pointer but for some reason it looks a whole lot more complicated than WUs I see. It's probably nothing. hehe.
Why am I not getting my points?
If you watch craigslist, they often give the "stuff" away. I too feel the need for speed.
Define "not getting your points"
Look at my stats. I have only been given credit for 3 WU...I am now into my 6th!!! I am pissed!!!
Very strange.
If I were you, and of course, I'm not, but this is what I would do.
I would stop the client, delete the works and install it again.
You will lose the current unit, but for some reason, you got issues.
Shrug, don't know what else to tell ya. I have 14 machines going without issue.

Where in Georgia are you?
I have done that 3 times already. Unit picks up just where it left off.
I am ready to post a vanity to NOT DO THIS!!!
This is crap for all of the time I've spent making sure it is running!!
All I get are shrugs...no help!!!
Mellow. Mellow. Mellow.
I was mellow 3 days ago when I first reported this.
I was mellow when I congratulated all the people who WERE getting their points tallied.
I was mellow when the BOYS get their points tabulated, so they can brag.
When MY points don't get tabulated...well...shrug....
If you delete the work folder(I would simply rename it so I could place it back later) it will not pick up where it left off. This suggests to me that your name or team number has a special character in it or something so that the credit isn't applying properly.
As I said, nuke the works, install it in a different folder.
I'm not an idiot...I'm a database programmer...why would my display show 5 WUs completed and working on my sixth?
It shows my name properly...it shows my team member properly...
I want a contact to get this cleared up. I don't think that's unreasonable.
Ok, so that's the problem(ok, ok, don't freak, so am I, I'm also a C++, VB, .net programmer) :).
I'm simply suggesting how I would attack this problem. Nuke the works and start over. I have registered at the official forums, the folks there are pretty helpful. Perhaps you should put your query there.
"I have only been given credit for 3 WU...I am now into my 6th!!!"
I assume you mean that your stat page only shows 3 and your display shows 5, is that correct?
A previous poster explained that the official stats pages are only updated at specific intervals, and the non-official ones are on an even longer update cycle. This might explain your discrepancy.
I have the opposite problem - my display page shows a few less WU than the stats page, but the point totals (which is what counts in the rankings) are correct for the higher WUs. Everything was correct until I had a power drop which caused my surge protector to drop out (cut off all juice) and disconnected all power to my hardware. My current WU restarted almost where it left off, but the count was wrong. I think the stats page hadn't updated the WU count yet and when I restarted my system, it took the current stats from the stat page to show fewer WUs completed. (This is all just guesswork on my part, but it does sound good, doesn't it - oh no, does that mean I'm turning into a liberal by talking about something I know nothing about? LOL)
The easy way to check an update lag is to simply exit the folding program and not run it for 12 - 24 hours, then check the stats page to see if it has an updated total.
OTOH, your program may have been unable to connect with the server to send a finished WU or it may have been sent but not completely received, and then your system might have ignored the incomplete signal and downloaded the next unit. A power surge or hiccup or data collision or other errors may have caused a problem. Maybe the port used to send the data was busy and the program tried to use an alternate port which was blocked by your firewall (you do have a firewall, I presume). Who knows?
Good Luck on trying to figure it out - it's all Geek (groan) to me.
Yea, that's what I was going to say, I did have a time where I couldn't get my finished WU sent back out - I kept trying to tweak the firewall settings to see if that was a problem, but I really think it was a problem with the specific server it was trying to connect to. It did finally get sent.
Look at the log for the last WU that finished. You should see the entries for FAH trying to send the finished unit. It should look something like this:
[03:51:03] Folding@home Core Shutdown: FINISHED_UNIT
[03:51:07] CoreStatus = 64 (100)
[03:51:07] Sending work to server
[03:51:07] + Attempting to send results
[03:51:25] + Results successfully sent
[03:51:25] Thank you for your contribution to Folding@Home.
[03:51:25] + Number of Units Completed: 3
However, I sent 1 WU easily, then it was a day or so before the 2nd unit got sent successfully, it happened in the middle of the processing for another one. So, see if you're having trouble sending the finished units.
I have 2 machines going at home, and I just noticed that they are both working on the same unit right now. Fortunately, they are each worth 241 points, so I should get a pretty big bump in a couple of days. A-folding we will go!!
Long-time FR lurker, just de-lurking for a day or three to watch this thread for a little bit as my computer chomps away at the first (of likely many) packets for the team. :)
I used to run SETI@home, but it got boring (well, that and they essentially ran out of packets to crunch), so when hubby (aka Kingu) mentioned this to me, I figured it was time to get the laptop chomping. And as soon as I refurb my desktop, I'll do that one, too.
I almost (almost!) put the credit in his name so he could look better, then decided I wanted to see how fast my laptop crunches proteins. Mmm, yummy proteins.
Anyhow - I'm headed back to lurker-ville (for the most part), but will poke my nose in occasionally to cheer. :)
Near as I can tell if you delete the dir where the folding program is installed it should be impossible for the unit to pick up where it left off.
