President Reagan came from humble beginnings in Dixon, IL. He understood the greatness of American from the bottom up.

He was exposed to Hollywood's political agenda and saw the left wing for what it was in California - a breeding ground for contempt of what the USA stood for in the world.

Ronald Reagan saw the world changing and stood up to the challenge of that most men and women never saw coming.

I would hate to think what the world would be like now without President Reagan reestablishing the conservative movement in the USA and making the tough calls to defend our constitution, our freedom and our family values.

Will there be another RR? Probably not. Men like him make history and while history is usually repeated, great leaders are far and few between.

And that is all I will say on the matter.

AOL and the Discovery Channel recently reported an uncontrolled survey of public opinion to determine the "Greatest American" in the history of our country. There were 2.4 million votes reportedly cast. Ronald Reagan won with 24%.

Yeah. And I remember how incredibly UNCOMFORTABLE Matt Lauer was when announcing the winner.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

"FRiends and patriots, unless we reclaim our party as a Conservative and Constitutional Originalist bastion against encroaching socialism and Leftist radicalism, we will never have another Ronald Reagan."

The focus of this series of articles is directed precisely at ending socialism as a part of restoring the Constitution.

It should be clear to everybody that the Democratic Party is committed to socialism and has led the move away from the Constitution. Clearly Democrats will not be part of the solution.

It also seems to be true that there are a number of 'moderate' Republicans who either condone socialism or at the very least do not have the will to end it. These RINOs limit what genuine conservatives would otherwise be able to accomplish.

We are going to show you in this series of articles how we believe that conservative leaders analogous to Ronald Reagan and the Founders can be recruited to run against and defeat not only RINOs, but also Democrats. We believe this will have the effect of making both political parties substantially more conservative. We believe that we can do this in every election until the Constitution is completely restored.

We believe that FreeRepublic can generate the momentum needed to get this effort launched. Once launched, we believe it will be self-sustaining and self-funding. We believe that it can gain the momentum needed to amend the Constitution to impose TERM LIMITS on members of Congress and members of the Federal Judiciary.

"Will there be another RR? Probably not. Men like him make history and while history is usually repeated, great leaders are far and few between."

While Ronald Reagan was truly a giant among giants, we believe there are many people who share Reagan's views and could be wonderful conservative leaders if only they would could forward and run. We all know the reasons why good men are reluctant to come forward and seek political office. Politics is a dirty business and campaign fund raising is a full time job not only for the would-be politician but for many of his friends and associates. The campaign fund raising for re-election starts the day after they count the votes and take the oath of office. Much of their time in office is spent on getting re-elected rather than in getting things done.

We believe we know how to completely eliminate the need for our candidates to engage in campaign fund raising, leaving them free to focus on the issues that actually matter. Once elected, they will not need to raise funding for their re-election, again leaving them free to focus on restoring the Constitution.

We ask each of you to ping your Freeper friends and ask them to follow this series and join in our discussions about finding ways to restore the Constitution. We invite you to take The Pledge and to invite your friends to take The Pledge.

"Mike Pence.

Hold on to that name and that thought. I like everything I hear and see about Mr. Pence. And if anybody knows him or somebody close to him, ask him to follow our series and even give it a bump. We wish to extend an invitation to everyone, including Mr. Pence to take The Pledge.

I sure miss that old man. I felt for Nancy at his funeral when they were trying to finally lead her away from his casket for the last time. I think I read her lips and I think she said "I don't want to leave him here." He was indeed one of a kind. I wish our Politicians had listened to him more closely. We wouldn't be in the shape we're in today.

Anyway, back to the subject...This may sound corny. You may or may not agree. But from what I've seen over the past 9 and a half years on this Forum, I believe the next "Ronald Reagan" will be a Freeper. I have had many discussions with many people on this board, and there are many who have impressed me greatly. Not that I count for much, but I am more impressed by more people on this Forum than ANYwhere else in ANY discussion group I've watched for any length of time. I would not be surprised. Just my 2-cents.

In the article, the author mentioned the population of 3.9 Million back at the time of the country's founding. Do you realize that we have aborted well over 10 times that population over the past 30 years? Not to take away from any of us who weren't summarily slaughtered in this manner, but how many "Ronald Reagan"-types were in that bunch. How many "Founding Father"-types? How many Einstein-types? George Washington Carver-types? I suspect there were at least a couple of each. At least.

Worth Repeating:

"I wish our Politicians had listened to him more closely. We wouldn't be in the shape we're in today. Anyway, back to the subject...This may sound corny. You may or may not agree. George Washington Carver-types? I suspect there were at least a couple of each. At least.

What keeps most conscientious conservatives, including some Freepers, from coming forth and being willing to participate in the effort to restore the Constitution and end socialism? Three primary reasons:

Is there any wonder as to why principled people refuse to come forward to seek public office? Professional politics is a dirty business. Why would principled people wish to compete in the world's second oldest profession?

Will you come forward and help us restore the Constitution and change all that before it is too late? Get out your ping lists, invite your friends to add their names to our ping lists in order to follow this series and learn how we can take our country back. Will you take The Pledge?
