I'm tired of people always criticizing Black folks.
2/3 of NO is black -that's almost 300,,000.
200,000 of them left NO with no help from the government
Thee number of looters and troublemakers probably didn't amount to more than a couple thousand out of 300,000.
Keep things in perspective!

I think a generalization is in orderTough.
I would dare say that you're wrong.
And that, to be perfectly honest, is an insult to those of us who are out there with a different mindset and conception of reality.
I don't have to justify myself to you or anyone like you.
And quite frankly, if you don't like it, tough.

I think a generalization is in order, as the majority of blacks DO expect someone else to take care of things. First of all you don't know this.
Secondly, even if it was true, it is no excuse to smear ALL blacks with the sort of generalization Jesse Peterson made.
I like Jesse and think he has a lot of good things to say, so I am sorry to see him marginalize himself with this sort of inflamatory rhetoric.
Even those with more money, expect someone else to take care of things.
I know plenty of blacks with more money than I have, and I have NEVER heard ANY of them express what you say above.

It seems that was my point. I didn't say ALL blacks but most, enough to make a generalization. That's the truth. Do you disagree?

No, I'm not black. But I worked with a black Red Cross nurse from California, a black local volunteer who helped serve meals and a black Mental Health worker.

Something else I forgot to mention. In Lake Charles, where I worked, rumors of increased crime rates were rampant after the evacuees arrived in town. Three weeks after they arrived the mayor of Lake Charles finally took the bull by the horns and published police reports which clearly showed, not only had their been NO increase in crime, there had actually been a decrease.
I can't say enough about the evacuees I met. I continue to keep in touch with many of them via cell phones---they are good, kind, decent people WITH JOBS!!!---at least, pre-Katrina.

I didn't say ALL blacks but most, enough to make a generalization. But that is what you clearly implied. So you may as well have said it.

Decades ago there was an earthquake in some southern area of the USSR that wrecked a village yet spared a lot of its populace. All of the villagers but one sat and waited for people to come and fix it.
Despite everyone else's laziness, one 90 year old woman went to work on her house while others slept outdoors and went cold and hungry, and did nothing to comfort themselves.
We never would have heard about it except for the fact that Italy sent help there and was able to report it. Last I heard, Italy and one old lady were finishing things up.
For years, I've used this as an example of communism. Now I can use it here as an example of our Leftist party.

When I was doing spec houses I used a stucco man who was highly recommended and happened to be Negro. Had arms like tree trunks and did beautiful work. Always sang powerful old school spirituals, Houses he worked on always sold fast, even with 11% interest.
I do believe there is something to 'leaving a good spirit about'.

Nope! Where've you been? Don't you know that we are ALL lazy, good-for-nothing "Negroes"? I mean every last one of us.

I'm poking at the originator of this thread and his comments. I detected the sarcasm. It's about all one can do these days, preach to the choir, seeing that the dumbing down of America is the most successful jihad in this country.
