We hear it every other day--America needs the Mexicans to do the jobs that Americans won't do anymore. It is just another lie meant to malign, degrade, and paint Americans as lazy, spoiled, and too high falutin' to do "real" work anymore. And, yes, I said it's a lie. The jobs we work today have nothing to do with "won't" and everything to do with "can't." Bump!

Even the so-called "benign" immigrant--those who truly do just want to come here to better themselves--is destroying us. They still use and abuse our social programs to the point that many hospitals have closed and many states are bankrupt. They just want to eat, to live, like all of us... I understand that. But we are drowning now, and if we don't save ourselves, then everyone dies. I used to live in a border town in Texas. Crossing the Rio Grande and going into Mexico was like crossing the galaxy and going to another planet....everything on "the other side" just reeked of misery, poverty and opression. Just one look around Mexico, and it's a wonder ANYONE bothers to stay behind.
When I cross the border and drive into Canada, I have to keep reminding myself I'm in a foreign country, since things are more the same there then they are different. But I NEVER had that problem in Mexico!
One Mexican lady I worked with came across legally with her parents when she was a little girl. She REFUSED to ever go back across the border, even though she lived her whole life within a few mile of her home country. Most of the Mexicans I met down there had little love for Mexico.
What sickens me isn't just the giving away of goods & services to the illegals, but the lack of holding the main perpetrator responsible: Mexico. That place is evil. And I mean that sincerely.
We don't see Cannucks zooming across the border like mice fleeing a cat, even though the place is frozen over nine months out of the year. Canada has got it's issues, but it's heaven on earth compared to Mexico.

Please tell me...how did we go from being the greatest nation on earth to the biggest sucker on earth? Because we're whores for cheap labor. That's why.
