he fact that the great majority of those seeking refuge and rescue were African-American, and that no help came in the first five or six days, spoke volumes about the "compassionate conservatism" supposedly animating Bush's administration........ The author is a liar.
He is also an ignorant bigot, a racist, and a very poor writer.
But most of all, he is a liar.

What a bunch of hatefilled filth! Screaming and hating America is not a good platform to run on in 2008.

Sure. I get that President Bush is a solid, competant man that even faced with lame brain incompetant obstructionist fools like Blanco and Nagin, still manages to assert some sanity to the situation in a week. Pretty impressive I'd say.
Do you LIBS GET IT! You aren't fit to run a war, let ALONE a City! We happen to value our lives too damn much to let you in the W.H. to botch up the nation more so than you did New Orleans.
Cop a clue. You aren't going to GET this President, and we aren't going to surrender to your sick temper Tantrums. GROW UP.

More blatant lies from the self gratifying drive-thru liberal machine when the FACTS are on record.

Dearest well educated Weiner:
Calling us stupid and naive is no way to win us over to your side. We got it then, we get it now.
BUSH IS THE BEST LEADER WE COULD HAVE ASKED FOR IN THIS CIRCUMSTANCE.
He is a doer, not a talker. He is a responsibility taker, not a blamer. He is truth oriented, not poll oriented. He seeks results, not popularity. He has compassion for people individually, he does not try to placate them corporately. He understands the world isn't perfect, he doesn't try to promise more than he can deliver. He is accountable to a higher authority, he does not say he is the higher authority. And that is only a partial list.
Yeah, we get it. He is a man of fine character.
You got a problem with that?

Dear Mr. Weiner,
I have good news. I just saved a ton of money by switching to Geocp.

Yes I get it...I blame Bush for not declaring real martial law and thus having the worthless governor and mayor stand down (at gun point if necessary) and sending in Gen. Honore on Monday afternoon to federalize and take over the La National Guard while moving in the marines and air borne by Wednesday.... with shoot to kill looter orders. That was the only way to a solution to the mess the locals made...but then there would not be the mess that we all saw develop by Wednesday and the federalized actions would have been seen as unnecessary. It is like a catch22 when you have such inept local leadership. Let the mess develop it is your fault for not stepping in, step in pro-active to avoid the mess and be labeled as a heavy handed imperialist. Take over...you are going to be critized either way. Oh yea, from day one, control the media like it is done in a war zone

Now you yourself can see what we have seen: These guys are way over their heads and haven't got a clue; they're constantly having to come back at a problem in hopes of getting it right the second or third time around.Amazing that this group of evil, yet clueless morons can kick your side's political heinies around the block in each election. I guess the American people are too stupid to see what they're up to. Praise Hillary that we have you to lead us from the darkness.

Yeah, I voted for Bush, even urged everybody I know that they, too, should vote for Bush. And my original judgment is still binding.
Who was running against George W. Bush in 2004? Has anyone done any sort of profile HOW the events would have played out if Bush were not in charge?
If so much energy had not been simply WASTED in trying to CYA and get any potential blame shifted to the Bush Administration, a LOT more would have been done.
