Let's see here what ingredients do we need to make up a complete Anti-muslim story...
The "Victim"
Muslim - Check
Muslim woman - Check
Pregnant Muslim woman - Check
Pregnant Muslim woman wearing Islamic head scarf - Check
Pregnant Muslim woman wearing Islamic head scarf minding her own business out for her "morning walk" - Check
(A question for you mothers out there. How many of you went on morning walks when you were 8 months along?)
The "Attackers"
White - Check
White males - Check
White males driving a pickup truck - Check
White males driving a pickup truck wearing "military-style clothing" - Check
White males driving a pickup truck wearing "military-style clothing" dropping the "N" word - Check
Now who's got the MAD-LIBS book?

Supposing that this story is true (there's no evidence either way), are you actually trying to justify what these guys did? That is exactly what many on this thread are and will try to do.

One hesitates to make the comparison -- but it's sure getting harder to avoid it for some of these folks. I lived through 9/11. I was angry at the time and I have to admit that that anger extended to all Muslims in general.
Over time, though, I've looked around and realized that Muslims are like anyone else- some are good, some are bad, most are just trying to get by.
If a Muslim breaks our laws or gives support to our enemies, I have no problems with him being punished. However, if an individual Muslim lives in America peacefully and breaks none of our laws, then they should get the same protection as any other person in this country.
That's what America is about, in my opinion.

What is sad (as you say so called) is feminazi dolts wanting to put people in jail for expressing free speech no matter how incredibly inappropriate. The details of the alleged incident, as described in the article, are rather more than an expression of "free speech."
The charitable explanation is that you have not actually read the entire article....

She also had a trash can of poop dumped on her. Also, her car was spray-painted with racist slurs on it. Also, she found a finger in her halal chili that said "go away terrorist." When will the anti-muslim attacks end?!?!

"Then you are nothing more than a bigot, if you can't treat people as individuals, rather than just members of a group."
Wrong. I can treat people as individuals who ARE individuals. islam teaches it's followers that they are islamic first and foremost, above all else. Shariah law comes before any law of any government. If you can't recognize the threat these people pose, you may think you're conservative and open minded, but I think you're foolish.
"That's true of people in general. I'm sure that if you pass 1000 people on the street, at least one of them would be willing to kill you, for whatever reason."
Wrong again. True, people can be violent, and there are defective members of society. But the key is, we consider those types of people defective. muslims are taught that killing infidels is glorious. Their koran is practically an instruction manual. If a muslim were to kill me, he or she would be glorified, and their "religion" teaches that their reward in the after life will be great.
Your heart is in the right place, but your mind is not. We are at war, and war is not pretty, and sometimes things get lost in war that you'd rather not lose. It's unfortunate, but it comes down to, kill or be killed. They will not stop willingly.

I was told that "sticks and stones may break your bones, but dirty words will never harm you". I will pass this on to the Muslims that like to whine and seek pity.

Normally I would agree with you, but we are not engaged in a normal situation. We are at war with Islamic terrorists and they don't wear uniforms or follow Geneva protocols of war. Our cities are the war front and each Muslim has to be suspected of being a soldier. Their weapons aren't just hidden bombs or planes, they also use political and demographic tools to attack and control.
We cannot view them as individuals any more than you could view a Nazi soldier as an "individual" while on the front lines. Would you have gotton to know them as individuals?
Everywhere there is an Islamic fundamentalist rubbing elbows with a Christian, Jew or Hindu you have a battle zone. They don't play nice with others and never have.

"I just hope the lynch mob can tell the difference between a Muslim and a Sikh."
Well, rule of thumb, Sikhs wear a turban, looks like a thick wrap of some sort. muslims wear towels.
It is something to be aware of, Sikhs deserve respect and space. Unlike muslims, Sikhs don't want to kill us simply because we exisit.

I agree with you and thats good common sense.
However, I was originally replying to r9etb's broad side against men.
What I wanted to know was why she felt compelled to talk down to male freepers.
I think that majority of men understand when language is inappropriate for a given situation.
Some don't, but not everyone living in the United States has had a chance to take their Politically Correct Sensitivity Training usually performed by NARAL, NAMBLA, NAACP, ACLU, CAIR, Democrats and of course the MSM.

How many Muslims in this country have committed killings of infidels?
Your heart is in the right place, but your mind is not. We are at war, and war is not pretty, and sometimes things get lost in war that you'd rather not lose.
We are perfectly able to fight this war without throwing away our Constitution and our American values. We've been doing fine so far.

Your analogy is a good one. I, too, boycott Muslim anything-businesses, products, and individuals any time I can.
BECAUSE I can.
The 'broad brush' approach, had it been followed by the powers that be pre-9-11, would have caught the hijackers. FAIRNESS is going to get us all killed.
And as for it not being a war against Islam-what the President says, and how everyday Americans see it are miles apart. I love W- but in this I would tell him to his face he is wrong.
CAIR knows- CAIR is right- there IS a growing hatred of Islam and Muslims in this country. And they have earned- and are continuing to earn- every iota of it.
Millions of Americans know- It IS the 'Religion'.

"AFAIK, we are not fighting a war against Islam. The President himself has said as much."
Political Correctness dies hard, but it is dying.
The rhetoric has changed lately. The administration is now calling it a war on islamic extremism, instead of the war on terror.
Terror is an emotion, you can't have a war on terror. It's a slight, but perceptible shift in the proper direction.
See my tagline.

What I wanted to know was why she felt compelled to talk down to male freepers I'm sorry for the confusion. Some men deserve talking down too though. Some will get on their sanctimonious horse and deride women at every opportunity. I suspect they have been burned in a relationship and haven't recovered fully yet. They say time heals all wounds.

I suppose I am somewhat cheered by these drunken rednecks who can't think of any other way to express their displeasure at an alien (and dangerous) cult than to harass a woman. You really should be nominated for dumbest post of the week.
