"... how do I make my rig recognize the simple fact that I have reconnected the second hard-drive?" Is the driver for it active?

DukeFan,
It helps to tell the truth if one wishes to be welcome here.
Of which "Duke" are you a fan? John Wayne, or that racist Democrat asshat DAVID DUKE?
Why on EARTH would you consider McCain a "TRUE" Republican?
Why would you claim on 20AUG05 to have "just only last evening (19AUG05) was introduced to the site" when your sign-up date is 08JUN05?
I mean, hell - I'm ill to the point of escaping hospitalization by charm alone, and even *I* can spot these troubling indicators of your irregularity.

I dunno - how would I find out?
as it is exactly the same kind of SCSI HDD as the primary, would it actually need its own driver?

Yowch.
How are your electrolyte levels?
With the creeping lung crud/'gotcha flu', your electrolytes usually wander.
Blood serum chem 20/30/50/100 series?
You probably should try to get some rest, conserve strength some.

Mine shows a primary and a secondary.
I know you know it needs its own drive number.

my electrolyte levels are good, and my saline and glucose levels are within the normal range as of today - yesterday they indicated I was a tad dehydrated.
I've been subsisting on a mix of PowerAde and GingerAle for the past five days :(
most of my blood chem looks good (creatine, BUN, all that crap).
My liver is definitely fine.
waiting on the TSH results

Maybe drive number is not the concept I mean.
Does any of this make any sense to you?

For some demented reason I have a mental image of Professor Membrane from Invader Zim holding a manual for something out at arms length and saying "It's... HORRIBLE!"
