"Hard"ball with Chrissy
BROWN: Welcome back to HARDBALL. Im Campbell Brown, sitting in for Chris Matthews.
Lawmakers on the Hill are lining up on either side of the CIA leak controversy and taking strong positions on the man at the eye of the storm, the presidents top political adviser, Karl Rove.
Congressman Jack Kingston, Republican of Georgia, says criticism of Karl Rove is a personal attack and politically motivated. Congressman Barney Frank, a Democrat of Massachusetts, has made an official inquiry into whether the Constitution allows Congress to start impeachment proceedings against a high-ranking administration staffer like Karl Rove.
Welcome to both of you.
REP. BARNEY FRANK (D), MASSACHUSETTS: Thank you.
BROWN: So, Congressman Frank, impeachment proceedings? Are we not getting a little out in front of this story?
FRANK: No. It is not the impeachment now. By the way, during the Clinton impeachment, the Republicans kept saying, remember, impeachment does not mean the end of the process. It is the beginning.
But heres my problem. I must honestly say, I do not trust the president to do an independent investigation here. And thats where...
(CROSSTALK)
BROWN: Its not the president. Theres a special prosecutor.
FRANK: Yes. But it is still also the president, because I dont think being convicted of a crime or to be the onlynot being convicted of a crime or to be the only qualification for being deputy chief of staff.
Remember, one thing has happened to Karl Rove since he leaked the name· or of the identity of the CIA agent, not the name, but the identity. He got promoted to deputy chief of staff. The president has said, for example, he doesnt know exactly what happened. Well, if somebody worked for me and was accused of what Karl Rove has clearly been accused of, I would know what happened, because I would ask him.
And the presidents reluctance to in fact find out from Karl Rove what happened makes me think that we cannot rely on the president himself to do this. And so, yes, there is a prosecutor. But I dont think being convicted of a crime is the only issue that ought to decide whether or not you become the deputy chief of staff for the president.

Wow, I hope he has a license for that rifle. He'd better also wait his ten day waiting period. Oh, and while he's at it, I expect to see a ballistic fingerprint for that weapon....

If It Fails...I am one in the million man march with a rifle! You really think you're going to get a million DUmmies to emerge from their parents' basements and travel to a protest march . . . over a White House aide who happened to mention in passing the name of a non-covert CIA employee who's married to some sour-grapes, disgruntled hack? Now think. How many did you get for the DSM rally on The Day When Everything Finally Changed? 300? At most?
Now the rifle is a nice touch. Implied violence is a DUmmie trademark. And your hypocrisy about gun control--well, since when did you DUmmies worry about hypocrisy?

If I were doing a Podcast now, I would record the sound of me ripping a tag off my mattress. Why? Because that would record a GREATER crime than that committed by Karl Rove. LOL! I always hated those damn tags. There was a weird reverse psychology to them, I mostly felt like removing them because it was FORBIDDEN! Well, at least I thought it was for so many years, until I bothered to REALLY read and realize that the BUYER can do whatever he wants with the tag.
Now for a comment about the DUmmies. This Lucy/Football thing reminds me a bit of FR during the Clinton years, thus it tells me something about human nature. We are all capable of much self delusion.

This whole thing makes me think about how happy and excited my dogs are when they get to go for a ride in the car even though in their excitement they fail to realize that every ride leads to a place they dread, the vet. It never fails though, when I open the car door they are more than happy to "ride along" even if I warn them where they are going.
Are these pseudo scandals intentional? Is the goal to make the lunatic left look even more loony by pulling the rope a dope time and time again? Were Nancy P, Barbara B, Teddy K, John C, Howard D, etc. given guaranteed lifetime jobs and appointments for playing along? Are the mainstream media folks this stupid to be so transparent? Sure seems the left is continuing to work itself into obscurity by allowing this stuff to marginalize them time and time again. I just don't see where this will lead them to ever winning elections again.

Ahhhhh Crap. I don't see where he says impeach Rove. Thats what I was looking for.On Friday, Rep. Frank and his House colleague John Conyers asked the Library of Congress to determine whether "high-ranking members of the President's staff are subject to the Congressional impeachment process." The Frank-Conyers letter continued: "We believe that the rationale for impeachment clearly applies to high-ranking officials who wield presidential authority in many cases with even more impact than some cabinet officers. And we do not see any Constitutional language that would exclude such officials from the impeachment process."
This is from Newsmax and was posted on another FR thread here

If It Fails...I am one in the million man march with a rifle!
As if any of you could hit the broad side of a barn!
Well let me know the date so we can put together about 100 Northwest Sharpshooters. Many of the boys around here still resemble Jedediah Smith or Wild Bill Hickock. I doubt it will take any more than that since we are very serious about hitting what we aim at. We practice constantly, and we aren't going to have to line up at Wally World in order to get ammunition. Our favorite TV channels are Outdoor Life and the Military Channel. We hunt everything from ducks to bear every year. I have shot deer at 300 yds quite often without a single bad shot, and my daughter is a better shot than I am. We have as much camo as the military and many of us carry automatic weapon permits. They will never know what happened. It aint a good idea to threaten the side that has the most guns and are very knowledgeable in their use!
They are still in denial of the fact they are in the minority. Do they think for one minute we will not defend our country against socialistic insurgents trying to force their viewpoint on the rest of us? Have they learned nothing from the War On Terror?
I would rather take my country back peacefully, but I certainly will not back down from a call to arms. It is also quite alright with me to hurry the process along.
