thanks. Interesting that there's no obit.

Interesting that there's no obit.

I'm sure that's to prevent us evil FReepers from disrupting his funeral and not because of this

All notices are subject to verification with a funeral home or crematorium and must be obtained prior to publication.

You know, I was reading the FoA "William Pitt" much yesterday.

Somewhere, he had alleged he had gotten a reconcilatory message from a "Freeper," which of course mystified all of us. (And his petulant response being "Won't work.")

Well, it apparently is that he got some sort of nice message from someone in the other conservative web-site, not from here.

I was concerned about this, because I myself had sent a reconcilatory heartfelt condolence to the FoA "bettyellen"--so much good that did me--who passed it around DUmmieland.

That incidentally was my first and only contact, ever, with an FoA--and it was a contact made only because the FoA "bettyellen" was the first FoA, ever, to respond to me on a message board.

The FoA talk about me, but alas they never talk to me.

Anyway, I had been concerned that the FoA "William Pitt" had gotten a copy of my message of sympathy to the FoA "bettyellen," and in the usual Andyite habit of twisting things a little bit, construed it as meant for him.

Does ANYONE have any proof Andy actually died? I mean, I don't want to be disrespectful, but I've never known anyone to die without an obit. It just seems, well, weird...

I still think we should "politicize his plight."

VERIFIABLE PAPER OBITS
(No disrespect intended-just want to piss off the DUmmies.)

Does ANYONE have any proof Andy actually died?

Just the outrage of the moonbats and this from the Seattle Weekly tabloid. No real media coverage, no notice from the King County coroner, nothing.

It boggles the mind to think that someone would lie about something of this magnitude, so I am operating under the assumption that they fear disruption and will publish an obit after burial has been done.

It would be helpful if others would contact Seattle media and ask them to cover the memorial service and inquire why no story has been done on the death of this activist.

By the way, Scamdy made Alexa, although since we're all new at this, we're not too sure what it means.

Not sure either, but comparing FreeRepublic.com to DemocraticUnderground.com on Alexa is pretty funny.

Uh-huh, but to hear the FoA "sfexpat2000" talk, Free Republic is six old men sitting in front of computers posting until 10,000 different screen-names.

When in fact Free Republic is somewhere between three and four times the size of DUmmieland; and I think the FoA "sfexpat2000," if she asked the Head Warden "Skinner," he would explain the stark numbers to her.

They just don't get it; there are more of us than of them.

And we correspond without swearing.

Everyone knows Alexa is run by Halliburton under Rove's command in order to make DU's numbers look bad.

Man, that's pretty ghoulish. The poor guy is dead. Have some respect. I didn't like his politics, his views or pretty much anything else but he was a human being and now he's gone.

Pitiful Pathetic Pitt however is still game.

I feel bad for his family, I read somewhere that his sister died this year too.

Yes, I remember how they acted about Reagan, Laura Ingram and Rush but we are supposed to be better than that.

Finally, some of us are Christians and we're supposed to walk the walk. Yes, I know if you search my post history I've been quite the ***hole sometimes but I admit it.

The world is a goldfish bowl.

The FoA attitude, though, seems to be that only certain people are allowed to look through the transparent glass.

Some time ago the FoA "sfexpat2000" complained about us reading what she had written and posted on the internet.

Well, if she never wanted "certain people" to read it, she should have never posted it publicly on the internet.

As an attorney said, "If she's going to take off all her clothes and walk down the sidewalk of Main Street, she can't 'control' who looks at her, and who doesn't--she can't say, 'oh you can look at me,' and then 'oh YOU can't look at me,' to another.

"If she chooses to freely parade down Main Street like that, she has to take on all lookers."

I think Andy's memorial service will be a newsworthy event. Since I can't attend, it would be nice to be able to read about it from a mainstream media source. I don't think that's ghoulish.

I agree. Be nice to have some MSM, real media, put some of this to rest so the ghouls, terrorists, thugs liars, intimidators, and moonbats that wrecked the man's name and continue to do so can be focused on. It is interesting that the same people that claim to be his closest friends (even though most have never met him) are the same ones taking so much joy in his demise, just so they can rub it in people's face. Thus the word ghoul.

Their utter blind rage from losing elections and losing public approval brings them to a precarious position in life where a death is used as a vehicle and weapon to validate and justify the defamation, lies, and character assassinations they took part in. I clearly see some of them on DU relishing and having fun pretending to be the big billy bad-arses on the block at the expense of the deceased.

I feel sorry for Andy's family, or whoever is going to have to wade through the financial morass his friends got him into. What a sad legacy to leave.

And the idea that the answers to legitimate questions were withheld in order to spite one's political enemies is a pretty lousy message as well.

That's it in a nutshell, sir.

Withholding answers just to spite one's "political" opponents. If those questions had been answered the afternoon of April 28, 2005, all would have been allowed to proceed in peace and quiet for the FoA.

But one must remember that the ones most upset about this were not "political" opponents. Andrew Stephenson was about as large a "figure" in Washington Democratic circles as I am in Nebraska Republican circles.

The two of us not even small fish in a big sea, bur rather microbes in a big sea.

The ones most upset about this were those who had seen, first-hand, what happens to a loved one afflicted with terminal cancer--in some cases, specifically pancreatic cancer--and they were the inspiration, the "driving force," behind this crusade for honest and open fund-raisers.

No politics in it at all.

No, c'mon now, you want to see the service announcement because you think he faked his death, correct?
Let's look at that. I only see two scenarios, doesn't mean there aren't hundreds, these two are what jumped out at me.

1) It was all a scam and now Andy is living high on the hog on his own island. Well I sure hope he raised more than 50k for that to even work. Plus look at his personality. He's an extreme extrovert, he likes to be in the middle of things. I'm not saying it as a bad thing, it's just that he wants to be part of something and to belong, I don't see him hiding out on his island with an infinite amount of money. Imagine Pitt being unable to foist his screeds on us, it'd kill him.

2) Now this makes a little sense. They deliberately faked his death to stop all the personal attacks so they could concentrate on his cancer and also to fool the people they accuse of attacking him. I kind of hope this is true but I'm afraid, he is dead, brought down by a nasty infection his body and modern drugs couldn't handle.

What bothers me is when I read stuff on DUh and I agree with them, that's a bad bad thing.

Man, if anybody's got grounds to sue anybody for anything, surely it must be the much-maligned Bev Harris:
