For what it's worth I've never found you arrogant either here or at CU. In fact I've always thought of you as a nice guy. I've known a lot of arrogant people in my life and you're not one.
Well, it just seems like every time the Andyites produce "proof," there's more and more questions.
It used to be--oh so long ago now--there were only three or four questions.
Then there were twenty or thirty questions.
I really hate to tell how many questions there are now, other than that it's a very large number.
I would think somewhere on that bill it would have paid in full stamped on it. A bill would have been drawn up before the $50,000 was paid, not after.
Thanks beandog.
Yeah I'm not real upset.
It's more humerous than anything.
I'm sure many others here feel the same. :) I hate to see good guys beat up on because of some agenda. I think the pot is calling the kettle black.
"formicarious" means "like an ant-farm."
And it's definitely not copacetic in P-J's formicarium
So what PJ is doing here is formicating?
What kind of bill will we receive?
Patients receive two types of billing statements which represent a summary of all charges: Hospital Statements, which reflect facility charges (inpatient rooms, equipment, etc.); and Physicians Statements, which represent the doctors charges. Itemized bills are available upon request.
What happens if I have no medical insurance?
Patients without medical insurance should contact a financial counselor. The counselor will work with the patient and billing departments to set up payment arrangements.
What happens if I cannot pay my medical bills? Will my treatment be stopped?
Your treatment will not be stopped if you are unable to pay the balance. You should contact a financial counselor to discuss payment options for balances left after insurance payment.
Can I get financial assistance to help pay my medical bills?
Patients who meet certain criteria may qualify for State of Maryland Medical Assistance or assistance from the Hospital. The Oncology Centers financial couselors can help you determine if you can obtain financial assistance. Some pharmaceutical companies may also provide assistance.
From the Oncology Department's Financial Counseling Center
From what I am gathering, if someone told Andy or the Andyliners (thanks Charles!) they needed the WHOLE $50,000 up front because he has no insurance, then someone was scamming HIM!
Cindie
Just looks like he hasn't paid anything to me. I could be wrong, though.
Well, but it's not getting lost.
Every piece of garbage the Andyites toss at us, is getting, uh, very well preserved.
These guys make a real mess, but whatever.
I honestly believe that the DUmp misunderestimated the rest of us on this and don't realize we preserved the evidence that $kimmer flushed.
Notice the announcement of the thread at CU being closed AFTER I posted the other set of checks?
I think you're right. The bill on the 20th should have reflected paid in full on it. In order for Scamdy to know what to pay they would have sent him a letter before the surgery stating the terms of payment and the amount that was to be paid.
A bigger problem is the DUmmies claimed the entire amount had been paid on May 10th, but one of these checks clearly says it was made out on May 19th. Therefore, no surgery was ever scheduled for May 10th.
The problem is the only proof of a bill they have posted shows both the hospital bill and the doctor bill on it. According to what you posted the hospital makes up a bill and the doctor makes up a separate bill. So either the hospital doesn't follow it's own guidelines or the bill of the 20th is crap.
I agree it's pretty sloppy-- but that's the way business is done sometimes. I think when people are involved so closely in evaluating this "situation", they expect that banks never mispell names, different departments in the hospital (patient relations which sends out the estimates) always talks to the accounting deparment, and that no one after a surgery would possibly be able to sneak out a phone call.
Personally, I'm satisfied that JHH was paid $50K. And that's giving them the benefit of the doubt that the $18K was actually cashed (that has not been independently verified yet). But as franksolich mentioned, there are still many questions-- foremost in my mind is how much DID they raise, as well as did they try to get more money by fabricating a 5/10 surgery date (that definitely hasn't been explained sufficiently).
Anyhow, kids begging for attention, so back to my world!
Nice to know you thing it's okay for a hospital to lose checks and have to cancel the surgery of a dying man. Seems to me, if this is true, then Scamdy has a case against the hospital. If this is how JH is run than I certainly don't want to have surgery there. Fortunately, I know it's not.
Johns Hopkins is most assuredly not run "that way;" and the manner in which these "documents" have been aired are more ammunition for the hospital itself, in seeking redress.
Alas and alack, this still has some ways to go.....
Think I'll ever get an answer to my question at CU? They are probably lurking right now. That's what Scott did that night and was actually replying to us on CU based on what we were saying on FR.
