Really, speed, all that anyone should be worried about Barset is whether or not he found new bankers after the ones he showed the cashier's checks "laughed & laughed & laughed" because they were so clearly fake. I'm sincerly concerned for his/ her/ its financial well being considering he/ she/ it has money tied up with demented individuals.

Worry yourself not speed.

You've got to admire sfexpat2000. She is on the spot with the post to keep things moving. Do not underestimate her.

Infatuation != stupidity

This person knows how to work a crowd. Look at her posts. Psychology degree? Amazing work.

David's post should intrigue you. He knows his way around computers, internet, websites, and more importantly printing.

He had access first to all the medical information....

Just a heads up.

And, did you notice that despite the offer to scan the medical bill right now and post them, that it never actually happened.

William Pitt: If you need scanned medical bills in order to giive someone $10, you need to reconsider your life priorities.

Would that be the Peter Angelos connection, then? (Assuming that it's the same Arlene Martinez.)

Just something "odd" that strikes me about Miss Waverly. It's evidently a character in a children's book written by Betty MacDonald (as other have discovered). When searching info on that, because I remembered how much I loved The Egg & I as a child, I noticed that Betty happens to be from here. Could just be a coincidence, but maybe more-- happens to have deep roots in the Puget Sound area, books set here, and Undie's JH check-finder/ room giver/ saviour happens to be named Miss Waverly. I stumbled across a really active web forum at Seattlepress.com about Betty MacDonald. Who knows, maybe some of you diggers could find something-- or maybe not. Don't want to send anyone on a wild goose chase. I don't really see how anything but chasing the money is going to do any good at this point (but I've been out of the loop for a while).

I had a good tip come from the board and that site was offered. I won't give names, because some people are working in the shadows and I don't want to divulge their identity unless they ask me to or say it is okay.

Arlene is a delegate as well.

I am looking for other confirmation on this person.

OH, and Peter Angelos is a big well-known leftie (this is where my HUSBAND'S expertise as a huge, relentless sports fan comes in handy).

I think it is the best information I have heard yet on who this could be. I don't have time to research right now.

"And it tells me that Andy is a good, decent person who's worked his health into the ground over the last few years."

uuuuuuuum he may very well have "worked his health into the ground" but it hasn't been with work. More likely the lifestyle.

The fact that you have a certain "proximity" to that storyline ...""

Can't argue that!!

Good luck-- I read through it a bit last night, but my eyes were starting to cross. I understand being a fan of an author (a DEAD author), but I'm flabberghasted that people could get this involved in something like that. That's how I killed my Saturday night, much to hubby's chagrin.
