Whew! Boy, I'm glad to know that Christ can't come back tomorrow, ushering the end times!

This "timeline" is nuts. We cannot know such things and the Bible tells us so.

"War among Arab nations will unite these nations under the leadership of Iraq and Iran. Iraq will invade and occupy Syria and other Arab nations. "

So much for establishing a peaceful democracy in Iraq...

That's right, and I don't see us becoming one united Catholic Church either. I wouldn't bet the farm on any of this being cut in stone. Some things could happen but I'm putting my trust in God, not in someone's opinion of what could happen. M

since i'm a protestant, that really threw me off the story (I was like oh this is more of the scare people into church tactics by the catholic church). At least it didn't go on about worshipping Mary.

This guy apparently had a motive in printing this stuff. I felt a check in my own spirit about it. Guess I won't be reading that book right along.

One United Catholic Church may not mean "THE CATHOLIC CHURCH". The word Catholic means "UNIVERSAL".

I know ... I'll probably oversleep that day ... or it will be announced on the television and I'll miss it because I'll be out doing yard work the whole day.

The Day of Repentance is something that occasionally comes up in Catholic prophecy. Some seers have claimed there will come a moment where God, in his mercy, allows everyone to see their sins in all their enormity, as He sees them.

This belief is neither approved nor disapproved by the Church.

why don't these Malachy/Nostradamus crackpots try predicting the weather for 2010, too?

I'd be impressed if they could get it right for next week :o)

a few chuckles tho: AD 2000 to 2039 -- The Forty Years, a period of 40 years during which the Church and the world will undergo very great sufferings and very great changes.

that's a pretty safe prediction. Name ANY 40 year period where this couldn't prove out. :O)

Also in 2009, Pope Benedict XVI suggests building three places of worship in Jerusalem, a Temple, a Church, and a Mosque -- so that these three religions can all worship in peace in the city of peace. He does not understand. This will not happen in the short term; instead there will be war

methinks the author doesn't like Benedict XVlll - he's already predicted he'll be dead by 2009-10 as there's a new Pope to be elected then. Were I Benedict Xvlll, I'd be watching my back - I've had that feeling ever since he was elected. He'd best watch his back - if he wants to last longer that John Paul l...

The Unification of all Christian Churches in one Catholic Church. The Great Famine will end upon the completion of this Unification, by the year 2023. Nothing whatsoever will cause the Great Famine to end until Christians repent and convert and unite in one holy Catholic Church.

So, ya wanna eat - better join the C Church. I can see the Evangelicans ans doing this. (not)
