I do not know. It is no consolation but this is not the first time this kind of situation has obtained. Sadly, it is the first time to happen without State interference (the usual source of mundane Church governance).

Robert, I'd say your prayer is exactly the right response and I join you.

I'd also say that this is something else that must never be forgotten and never permitted again.
