“Maybe it's a sin not to send someone to heaven.” -- Florida state Senator Nancy Argenziano.

This is quite possibly the most ignorant statement I have ever heard in my life...period.

Does she stop to think that "to send someone to heaven" in the context she's talking about is called murder, and IT IS a sin.

What's your take on linking Terri Schiavo to the events at Red Lake?

Very well said. Thank you. An intriguing and Dick-Sobsey kind of extrapolation.

The senator said this as she voted against saving Terri.

Wonder if she's trying to justify her vote with that stupid statement.

Maybe there is something to the idea:

1. His mother is in a coma and there has been a lot of talk about the worthlessness of people in comas.

2. Christopher Pittman was convicted of killing his grandparents after a well televised report of the trial, one month ago.

3. There has been a lot from the "talking heads" about "helping Terri go be with God".

4. If he was hanging out on nazi web sites, he definitely may have encountered Aryan-type prejudice against non-aryans, including American Indians.

Perhaps:

1. He was suddenly overwhelmed with the hopelessness of his personal situation.

2. He somehow missed that suicide and murder are mortal sins.

3. Lost sight of the value of life.

At school he killed a guard near the medal detector, then entered a classroom and began systematically “sending people to heaven” as Nancy Argenziano puts it. He asked one boy “Do you believe in God?” when the boy replied that he did, the shooter killed him.

I wonder if Nancy is happy that her words were able to sway someone.
