What a drama queen. This is a common tactic of those who crave attention on internet baords and discussion groups: Make a big, dramatic farewell (for no good reason) and then sit back and groove on all the "No, don't go! How will we live without you?" posts. Sorta like how Letterman left NBC because they didn't "love" him enough.

If one wanted nothing to do with a board any longer (why? it's free on the net, you can drop in and read when you like and just not post), then one could just stop posting. But like all dems, this person thrives on emotion. So I guess this was a cheap high.

Hey, if the DU mods were really to get serious about cracking down on profanity, out of the 5-10,000 true DUmmies (i.e., non-lousy-FReeper-trolls), I think they'd be down to about 15. They might even have to ban themselves.

In case misfortune befalls me, I hereby leave the DUmmie FUnnies name and rights to Charles Henrickson so that he may continue it whilst I look on fondly at new DUFU editions from the Great Beyond. The reason I am posting this is that early early AM a few days ago I was on my way to the freeway entrance when I made a pit stop at a DUnkin' Donuts for some coffee and chow. Anyway, just in front of me on line was an incredibly annoying woman who kept changing her order around and wasted at least 10 minutes of my time. Well, thank goodness she did because a few minutes later when I got on the freeway, I drove by a humongous wreck that involved about 6 cars. A cop car was there but no ambulance as yet and it looked like the accident occurred about 10 minutes earlier...about the same amount of time that the annoying woman at DUnkin' Donuts wasted. Somehow I am sure that would have been me in that wreck had I not been delayed and the first thought that came to my mind (after relief at not being in the wreck) was what would happen to the DUmmie FUnnies if I depart this space/time continuum.

Therefore to ensure that the DUmmie FUnnies continues past my existence, I hereby authorize Charles Henrickson to take it over (plus the profits from the any book deals he gets) if I depart. However, Charles shouldn't count on taking over the DUFUs anytime soon since I have VERY LONG lifespans on both sides of my family plus I somehow have a knack for narrowly escaping accidents.

But just in case....
