Those of us who are Stargate SG-1 fans know RDA isn't a has been.
Was the best sci-fi show on until a couple seasons ago when he cut back the hours he was willing to work.
The shows are uneven now, depending on whether he's there much that week.
P.S. Clubbing baby seals to death for their white fur IS pretty barbaric.

Actor Richard Dean Anderson, best known for portraying the quick-thinking handyman hero MacGyver in the TV series of the same name, has taken on a new role to protest the annual seal hunt.He backed off of SG-1 for THIS?!

Just damn.
If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...

Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from this list.
I don't get offended if you want to be removed.

Everyone loves sausage, but nobody wants to watch it being made.
Let's just let the seal population grow until there are so many that large numbers starve to death, that way we can feel smug and morally superior.

Some of America's heros were trappers. Much more brutal than a quick club on the skull! And Beaver tail tastes great.

I don't love white baby seal fur, and I don't need it.
If the purpose is population control, then there are more humane ways to accomplish that end than clubbing a baby to death in front of its mother.
Young adults seals could be culled for food for zoos if population is a problem.

Maybe the French will sink he Sea Shepherd. One of the few good things they've done is sink a greenpeace ship.

Yep, it's awful to line up cows and have them watch the ones in the front of the line get shot & gutted. That's what the animal rights folks think anyway. The steaks taste just fine to me.

Yeah, it is much more humane letting the "baby" starve to death in front of its mother....

What's the big problem about letting people continue their tradition? If you find it distasteful, then don't participate. If we do population control your way, it costs us money, because the government is going to have to do it. I'm sure these guys are asking the seals which one is their mother just to make sure she can see it getting clubbed.

How many white fur coats have you bought?
Are white fur coats necessary?
Food is. It's a different argument.

People own/have many, many things which aren't "necessary". That's one of the benefits of living in a free country.
