There's a whole gray area between life and death, that Conservatives fail to see. I can't explain it. I don't really understand it myself. You'd have to be a liberal to understand it. It has something to do with life unworthy of life, whatever that means. You could probably get a thorough explanation at DU, or you could google "Tiergartenstrasse 4".

Then she suffered another stroke that left her unable to swallow.We could no longer care for her and she was placed in a nursing home. Each day I went there a plate of cold of untouched food would be sitting there. Never any water!!
I was told that if I gave her food or water she would strangle to death. I called in the doctor and made a great fuss over my mom not being fed or given any water. I insisted they put in an IV . Her veins collapsed. I prayed much and placed her in His hands. She was in so much pain all drawn up her little legs and arms could not be straitened out she was down to 60 lbs. She was 89 years old
The doctor told me it was time to let her go. She would not put in a feeding tube. She ordered MORPHINE FOR THE PAIN and ice chips. So for six days she had nothing. She died on the sixth day in my arms.
I could not sleep or eat during that time and still today I can not stand to think of it. My dad died 40 days later in my home in my arms. I know that God forgives us our sin if we ask Him to, but living with guilt of what I did is almost unbearable.
I have read that Michael had the feeding tubes taken out for both of his parents. How can he live with himself if he does this to Terri? I pray that God will take Terri home in His time. She and her family are in my prayers.God bless all you.
Oh man.. that explains it. I have a radio show from heretic guy or heresy guy and it's on Scientology I learned the true grit of the whole kit and kaboodle from that show by a person who was on there who was in the highest echelons. No wonder Greta isn't really helping.

Considering some of the recent threads (and the hype) I'd almost given up on finding any real information from an objective point of view (reports of the scans, medical facts), particularly on FR. THANK YOU for finding this.
Huh? So because you can go longer without food or water than you can without oxygen a feeding tube "isn't a life-sustaining measure" but a vent is? Withdrawing a feeding tube is exactly the same ethically as withdrawing a ventilator.

He was no friend of Terri, that's for sure!
If you wish, I can bring up his numerous posts from today in which he repeatedly called for Freepers to take up arms and conduct military type operations to free Terri.

By the way, I agree with you that inciting to violence is a bad thing.
