"there could be an embedded democratic mind control chip waiting to possess you on the 17th!"

Geeez and I thought I was bad. MK Ultra, and all that stuff.

BTW, that is the most macabre, hopeless, depressing, horrifying movie ever. I'm literally sorry I watched it.

Must have been why I enjoyed it so much.

My money is on a multilevel marketing outfit trying to reel you in. The "survey" was just a ruse.

No, but then I don't answer the phone unless I know who's calling. I just ignored an "Out of Area" call that didn't leave a message; probably a telemarketer.

I'll lay 10-1 odds that its a marketing study of some sort.
They want to determine if the desired effect of the advertising media is taking place.

If they do try to sell you something at some point, thats when you can tell them thanks for wasting all of your time, and then hang up on their ass.

Sounds suspicious. I would not have agreed to having the tape sent to me.

To calm your nerves

They used to ask people from our local shopping mall to preview a new televison show. They would then take you to this store with about 30 to 40 other people. They would have you watch the show, then fill out a questionaire about what you saw.

In reality they weren't testing a new televion show they were testing the commercials that aired during the show. They would ask a few questions about the show then go to the real reason for the survey.

This is most likely a new version of this. They will then ask you some questions about what you saw on the tape. They want you to watch it at a certain time so that they get your first impression and it is a fresh in your mind.

I did that once! I watched a clip of The Wedding Planner and then they asked me a bunch of questions about it. I told them I thought it sucked. :-)

They made a film called The Ring about the incident.

That is the creepiest movie I ever saw in my life!
