Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my FoxFan list. *Warning: This can be a high-volume ping list at times.
At least Alan, like him or not, doesn't change his stance from day to day. He sticks with what he believes and I respect him for that. However I do tend to tune him out a lot.
Thanks for the ping!
Alan is my favorite liberal. He's not nasty like those jerks in DU. Of course he's not liberal enough for those idiots. They call him a DINO.
I heard an exerpt of that broadcast, what show was this?
He also said GWB was his president, not like a bunch of them other flaming libs who said he wasn't their president.
Yes, but, he is also correct.
On FOX, the Conservatives and the Liberals get to have their say.
On the rest of the media, the Liberals get to have their say.
That's it.
Nothing more follows.
OMG - did you throw away your glasses? Yuk....! ....nuclady
That is why mankind invented:
I believe it was last Friday's "Scarborough Country" on MSNBC, which was guest hosted by Buchanan.
I agree - Alan is one of those rare liberals who is a gentleman! I have communicated with him before and he does have a even rarer traits (for a liberal) of humblness.
This is how he described himself in the Lumino article: "I don't pretend that I'm delivering the straight news. I'm not a newsman. I'm an opinion-giver," Colmes says. "And what I need to is be honest about giving my opinion and evaluating events based on the prism to which I look at life. I'm not Dan Rather.
My job is not to be an objective-neutral person, but I am hired because I do have a point of view and my role and my need is to be honest about that as possible."
About Sean and himself, he said:
"We are both very committed to our beliefs, but you know it's never personal," he says. "We've never crossed that line where it's become a personal thing between him and me."
"I've always felt that you can agree to disagree, and disagree without being disagreeable" he says. "And that if you really want to be heard, you don't hit people over the head and do it in a mean-spirited way. If you really want your voice be heard, you want to express your self in a way that's palatable even to those on the other side."
And that is what I think makes him classy compared to the likes of Donahue, Chris Matthews, Ron Reagan and Geraldine Ferraro!!
