Perfect timing, Jeff. Just wrapping up Volume IV and still getting more impressed (and intrigued, and involved, etc., etc...)
Looking forward to it.

Thanks Jim...I am long since finished with your second and hope to post a review here on FR and on Amazon this weekend.
I had to take some time (understandably) with the passing of my dear brother...and then needed to finish Volume V before I could do that...but, as promised, I will get it done and am happy to do so.

FYI...this is the latest "announcement" thread on FR for my series.
Other freeper authors (and this is not a complete list by any stretch) Travis McGee; Jim Macomber; Plusone, snake65 and Mississippi Man have also been pinged.
Guys, Scourge of God has a book coming out soon, Judgement Day, with Tekno Books, a Five Star imprint.
Scourge, we get quite af ew reviews of one another's work here...like this one of one of mine from freeper NorseWood.

The printed, trade paperback issue of Volume V will be coming out very soon on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Powells and elsewhere. Will you be offering all five books as a boxed set?

Very happy for you, Jeff. #1 in any category at a place like Powell's is a significant accomplishment. Good for you!

Thanks my friend. We're probably ten days out on the printed version. The printer made a mistake on the first printed proof and I had to reject it...it was the first one I rejeced since Ocotber of 2001. They should be back in the saddle with it tomorrow.

I'm talking with the distributor about some kind of collectors or commemorative edition...but it's still a ways out there. Watch the site, it will be announced there when we decide.

Thank you MM, perhaps some day something like that will come to the attention of the right ears and it will get picked up. I really believe that with some decent advertising and representation that the entire series would sell extremely well nation-wide.
...and if not, well then I am extremely happy with what it has done on its own and with my own meager efforts and the word of mouth it has attained. It's been a great experience.

Thanks BR. Let me know what you think.
FYI, as one of the chapter headings in Volume V, I use:
"Stay well - Stay safe - Stay armed - Yorktown" - Mathew Riley

hehehe...you'll have to read to find out...but here's the latest:
REVIEW from the DFS site:
I finished Dragon's Fury: Eagle's Talons, the fifth volume of Jeff Head's World War III series. Very exciting, and gruesome, ending. I hope reality isn't as bad as his imagination.
I don't agree with Mr. Head on everything, but if the Chinese were to ever attack the U.S. as they do in the first volume of this series, then a war like he imagined will be in order. Unfortunately, they'll probably just sit back and watch us destroy ourselves.
The book was a good read, well worth my $12 (for the Microsoft Reader eBook version). The dead trees version isn't available yet, but it should be soon.
That's from Bill St. Clair.
