"They'll all answer, correctly, that the elite media is controlled by corporate interests and thus not liberal."
This premise is faulty so any conclusions that follow from it are faulty.

My friend, they may be liberal and left in philosophy, But being PRO-DEMOCRAT and ANTI-REBUBLICAN is what the really ARE.
Just see who they support if a Liberal Republican faces a Conservative Democrat.

Big business is obviously also pro-Democrat. Why, do you ask, would big business be pro-Democrat? Democrats are easily bribed.
Before their fall, when Enron was in trouble, who did they turn to? Clintons Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, who called the Treasury Dept on Enrons behalf, but was rebuffed by the Republican Treasury Department. Is there any doubt that Clintons people would have been much more obliging for the right campaign donation?

1 - The elite media is pro-Democrat and anti-Republican. This is very different from "liberal" or "lefty". Liberal and lefty are *not* interchangeable terms. The media is liberal, but they're not necessarily leftist.

The Republican Party is the party of the middle class. That shows up plainly in the fact that in 2000 Bush won everywhere except in the poor districts of the inner city where you will find poor and minorities and in the toney suburbs. I'd divide people into three groups:
- Those who want someone to take care of them.
- Those who simply want to take care of themselves.
- Those who want to "take care of" (control) everybody else
Groups #1 and #3 are Democrat. Group #2 is Republican.

2 - Big business is obviously also pro-Democrat. Why, do you ask, would big business be pro-Democrat? Well here's why: Government regulations increase the cost of entry into many markets, thus benefiting existing participants.
