I'm Sorry for Your Loss; I Lost My Dad 2 years ago.
Our "Dad's" were part of the "Greatest Generation."
We Know That.
It is Our Duty to Honor our "Fathers" by Continuing Their Legacy.
WE are the "Legacy" of the "Greatest Generation!!"
The "Civilization" we Leave to our "Progeny" is the "Legacy of" the "BEST" we have Produced!!

God bless you Race. Our prayers to you and your family.
He's the same age as my Dad. And married the same year. And here I thought you were a lot younger than me.
Sorry for your troubles, Race.

Watch, dear Lord with those who wake or watch or weep tonight, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend your sick ones, O Lord Jesus Christ, rest your weary ones, bless your dying ones, soothe your suffering ones, shield your joyous ones, and all for your love's sake.

Lost my Dad in '86. He commanded an LCT in the Normandy Invasion. Utah Beach, he had bulldozers and TNT. Lost my Mom about 3 years ago. It's a hell of a thing. Takes about 3 years to get over.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost my father when I was fifteen, now my mother is going, slowly at age 91, just like my grandmother. I don't know which is worse.
