Of course he made excuses. His press conference was full of excuses. And the sick puppy that he was even hopes his son follows in his footsteps.
"If my son is called to this sort of action, I would encourage him to obey God's call," he said.
And he thought he'd get life without parole, not the death penalty:
He ackowledged that it did not initially occur to him that the government would seek the death penalty. He said he was "naive" in thinking he would spend the rest of his life in prison.

You first committed the slander and made your accusations in a public forum, and that's the only place that I'll accept their amplification and/or clarification from you. I have no desire to visit you personally (I haven't had my shots).
Until then, you have already said it, and I agree.
Evasion noted. Stop being a coward and referring to people without pinging them to the post in which you referred to them.
But I digress.
The Bible may not specifically address the issue of abortion, but its position on murder (against) and the death penalty (for) are abundantly clear.
That said, let me state uncategorically that in the way things are regarding abortion, I cannot in good conscience condemn the killing of abortion doctors. People who willingly and literally rip apart the most innocent for financial gain are no different from the likes of Kenneth McDuff, Jeffrey Dahmer or Richard Speck. These people mean less than nothing to me.
Now, before you start saying I am crazy, sick, or anything else derogatory, why don't you get off your holier than thou high horse and go to some of these abortion websites and get a good, long look at reality. Are you gonna give me some sermon how death would not apply to these people who do this for a living?!? Are you gonna say what is happening to the babies is not in and of itself crazy and sick?
If that is what you are thinking, pal, I would take a good, long look in the mirror before I start throwing stones.
Finally, if you have an alternative to retroactive death penalty laws or "vigilante justice" for abortionists that is perfectly sound and reasonable, let's hear it.
My first appearance on this thread, and I'm not familiar with the details of the case. But, why is one a "kook" to compare the actions of Hill and those of abortionists? Both consciously chose to kill people, without remorse. What is the difference?
You're looking forward to it.
And what's with the use of the word "schmuck?" My dictionary says "schmuck" means "penis." So what are you trying to call me?
Your biggest problem is to convince pro abortion folks that abortion is indeed violence. They do not see it as violence, any more than they see a root canal at the dentist as violence.
True, there are some very gruesome pictures of aborted babies that show the violence in great detail. But pro abortionists ignore them, and put the images out of their minds. Not unlike the german people US GIs brought into the concentration camps in 1945 who had to be physically forced to look at what was before them.
It is unfortunate that these people view the issue that way. And I don't know how you will bend them to view it as you do.
The fear that Hill's actions may in the long run solidify the legal protection of people who murder small children for fun and profit and make it more difficult to end the American Holocaust.
This same fear is why I cannot regard Paul Hill as a hero, but as a tragic figure.
It seems that that is the fervent hope of you and others who label "kooks" those who don't whole-heartedly condemn the actions of Hill. The shrillness of your hypocritical arguments supporting mass murder of children is telling.
We live in a violent world, and sometimes the only way to get the point across is with violence. Just ask the government. Anyone who says violence never solved anything is a liar.
Do you consider that a good thing or a bad thing?
You are absolutely correct. The reason it worked for environmentalists is their side has guts.

That I'm gradually trying to win over, yes.
You're not one of those Pharisees who'd get in Jesus' face because he was hanging out with sinners and tax collectors, are you?
So your solution to stopping abortion is to kill abortion doctors?
That statement is slanderous and outrageous.
