I'm getting convinced more and more that these defenders of "evolution" are Communist loving Democrats

these defenders of "evolution" are Communist loving Democrats

All communists, excepting possibly Christian communists, and all Democrats, excepting Church members, find evolution to be handy when developing various concepts. Maybe a Republican here and there finds evolution somewhat useful in communicating with other professional scientists, too.

Awarded to goodseedhomeschoolmama posthumerously for fighting the good fight and telling it like it is

Here's a clue for the clueless (appropriately colloquialized):

She done told Jim that his site wasn't Republican or conservative and then flagrantly reneged on her pledged donation in front of God and everybody on a popular thread, which was clearly the action of a deliberate disruptor or an incredibly foolish idealogue. Then, in front of the world, she asked Jim to cancel her account, which he done did, so kiss her dumbass moniker goodbye already.

That sure ain't no "good fight" except to similarly minded asinine disruptors who don't wish this site no good!

A Communist believes in Man and the State as god. If "Christians" are bowing down to this idea, even in order to exist, then they either are not Christians or they are afraid for their lives. A lot of Jews pretended to be Christians in order to survive Hitler, and the more power to them

Maybe they don't want their kids taught that they evolved from a primate

Too bad, so sad. This has already been before the courts, where it has been (sensibly) decided that religious objections to teaching evolution do not apply so long as evolution is taught because it is in fact a part of science.

In short, government cannot enact a law or policy that has the primary effect or the intent of either advancing or inhibiting religion. So long, however, as the primary effect and intent of a policy is to further a valid purpose (such as teaching in a science class theories that are, objectively, part of the current content of science) then incidental religious effects, even if they exist (which is far from universally agreed in the case of evolution), are not constitutionally fatal.

Here's the good news, however, at least for those creationist freepers who have expressed the conviction that the demise of evolution is just around the corner: If some creationistic theory ever genuinely succeeds as science, then religious objections to teaching it in the public schools will likewise be irrelevant.

By the same token, if evolution should ever fail as a scientific theory, then you may well be able to have it removed from public schools on constitutional grounds (because the valid secular purpose of teaching science will have been eliminated if evolution is no longer part of science). In the meantime whining will do you no good. A better bet (and less of a long shot than finding a scientifically successful theory of creation) is to work towards the elimination of government schools. I'm actually with you on that one.
