[history]
In an e-mail to her family on Feb. 7, two weeks after her arrival in the Gaza Strip, Rachel Corrie wrote that "no amount of reading, attendance at conferences, documentary viewing . . . could have prepared me for the reality of the situation here."

"Corrie's parents, Craig and Cynthia Corrie of Charlotte, N.C., released a statement saying they "are proud Rachel was able to live her convictions.
Kinda sounds like the same thing Taliban Johnnie's parents said...

I think it is incredibly stupid what she did...but I think it's even worse that people are laughing about someone getting run over by a bulldozer.
As much as it disgusts me to see her burn an American flag...I wouldn't wish death on someone because she's a ignroant winch. If that was the case I would want to see alot of people run over with heavy equipment.
I'm not trying to step on toes here, but in my opinion it is wrong to get a good laugh at someone getting crushed by a bulldozer. Oh well, guess I figured I'd speak up...just my opinion though...

Hmmm, inciting hatred. So much for being committed to peace.

"Very unfortunate. This little idiot may have eventually grown up and made something of herself. Now all she gets for her trouble is her own funeral and her name printed on a bunch of anti-war signs."
I disagree.. she showed all the signs of becoming a Political Science Professor !

"I am just beginning to learn from what I expect to be a very intense tutelage," she wrote, "about the ability of people to organize against all odds, and to resist against all odds." Well... maybe not all odds.

I wonder if it ever occurred to her that she could have saved more lives by throwing herself in front of an exploding Palesinian.
To: MikalM
Too bad she didn't raise one of those "Don't Tread On Me" flags...

Whoops...sorry, re-read the article.
Disregard most of what I said in my previous post, if she put herself in that position than she knew what was coming. Still a little hard for me to laugh...but much easier now.
Please forgive me for my current lack of reading skillz, another fine product of the NC public school system... ;p

The master manipulators - Sadam, Arafat, Stalin, Hitler, Kim Jong Il - are always on the lookout for well-intentioned fools.
Another "useful idiot" finds here reward.
To: Blue Scourge
She sacrificed her life for murderers. No sympathy here.

So if she was inspired by 9/11, does that mean she passed around candy and cheered when all those people died on our soil?
I bet she did.
