"It hilarious to watch Pat Buchanan and Bill Press on MSNBC (at least the one time I watched them). They're in perfect agreement about Iraq--as is Chris Matthews and Phil Donahue."

Might as well add Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf's (now here's a real leftie..NOT!) name to that list. As he has spoken out against this war also.

"Oh, it's okay. I know that adoring repressive dictators like Saddam and Castro is right up Ron Paul's alley."

Would you care to back up your post with proof? Or is it that you refuse to admit that Sanctions do not work as intended, and must point the debate away from this fact?

p.s. In case II.. You may wish to read the book "Saddam Hussein by Efraim Karsh & Inari Rautsi" to see who was in bed with him way before Rep. Ron Paul righty points out that their plans didn't work. (I'll give you one hint..one's nickname is Rummy)

Yup.

I love to do nothing more than to cost you "principled patriots yatta yatta" some money, especially if they go into the Ron Paul/Libertarian rathole, where the result of the spending will be invisible.

Count me in for saying that he is a loser, and unknown to the vast majority of the GOP electorate. I'll even get on your nerves further by saying that there is no loss at throwing you albatrosses overboard.

I hope you can be smugly satisfied with your utter irrelevance. Maybe you can join some whackjob cult, move into a compound, have a lengthy standoff, and then whimper that you "been done wrong" when you finally get swarmed by cops.

Yes, it is apparent that FR changed. As it grew, it was the place where the hard right met the mainstream.

Of course, once the mainstream really began to understand the motivation, ideas and intellectual bases of the hard right, we found them to tend toward paranoid, frequently racial charged diatribes of shallow intellectual origin, and ultimately found them wanting. So now, instead of being able to sit around in a self congratulatory, back patting circle jerk that you had going, you now find yourself having to defend your tiresome, foolish notions to people who are now equipped to reject you both here and in the real world of politics.

You've consigned yourselves not only to irrelevance on the left, but to irrelevance in the GOP - a group who used to listen to you.

And how many on this board holds dual-citzenship? Where does their loyalty lie?

Judging from what I've seen on most threads, Israel is the most likely answer.

Its the evil JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS ping.

JOOOOS JOOOOS JOOOOS

They're behind all of the world's evils, you know. Just a cursory read of "The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion" says it's so. < /sarcasm>

Today, I predict there will issue from several red, sweaty faces (veins on forehead visibly swollen) a torrent of profanity as they realize that once again, they're being mocked and are held in utter contempt.

The Constitution Party? Neither Pat Buchanan or Bob Smith ran under the Constitution Party banner. Pat took over the Reform Party and Bob Smith just faded away.

Both, BTW, rival each other for the worst combovers on the Right. Carl Levin takes the title for worst combover on the Left with no challengers apparent.

I don't know that I can stand it. My Liberal Relative has discovered Ron Paul on C-Span, and has been calling me several times a week to tell me how wonderful he is...and that Bill Clinton wouldn't have gotten us into this trouble with Iraq & North Korea (never mind that they did, that doesn't quite compute yet....).

I'm still trying to decide: if Ron Paul is my Liberal Relative's new political hero, does that mean he's as irrelevant as I thought he was, or does that mean there's hope for my Liberal Relative?

Or does it confirm my theory of a few months ago that the far left and far right have both gone 'round the bend and met on the back side?

Perhaps after a cup of coffee it will be more clear.....

still the better starting point in the post modern era.

Change "post modern era" to globalist new world order and you'll be alot closer to what the neocons and the leftists want.

Was this in a REAL newspaper? The reporter is obviously an admirer of Ron Paul who was overcome with his proximity.

How biased is this line?

In doing so [Paul] has spoken truth to power with an honesty and courage progressives wish more Democratic leaders exhibited.

Exactly. The media pulled the same stunt with McCain. "Oh, he speaks truth to power! He is so principled!" only because he was favored by the Democrats in their agenda.
