Pornhub is a honey trap.
It is always useful to know what kind of honey you might like, even if it is just calculus.
Let us not forget that the Communications Decency Act, written to protect children, gave us the infamous Section 230. Never trust TPTB.
It’s the slippery slope. California now requires age checking to look at guns online.
I recognize the dangers but IMHO, if they can force our young daughters to share public bathrooms and showers with 50 year old “men”, then letting 15 year old kids view porn online concerns me less than that does.
And no I do not favor any of these, but rather ask how we can condone any of it as acceptable?

People give their credentials every day when they buy tobacco or alcohol when asked.
People give their credentials and identifying information all the time to check their bank account, buy products, groceries, everything you can think of on the Internet.
Don't worry, there will always be some scummy news stand or store you can buy your porn at with cash.

If you think this stuff stops with pornography, you're being naive.
Florida's legislature already passed a low banning all social media access by minors. Governor DeSantis wisely vetoed it as the enforcement mechanism required the same sort of third party verification demanded by Texas here and adults posting anonymously on social media would've no longer been possible.
It wouldn't take much of a stretch to rope all forums such as Free Republic under the same social media definition that Twitter falls under.
