Some say man cannot get thru the Van Allen Radiation belts. Not naked, for sure. It isn't any problem when you are in a 3/8" thick spacecraft and spend only 12 minutes passing through. The dosimeters returned by the astronauts indicated that it was less radiation than a chest X-ray.

Strange how we no longer have the technology to go back to the moon We do have the technology. We didn't have the desire, so we scrapped all of the hardware and tooling. Then we chose other goals that didn't need Saturn V scale hardware.
It looks like Artemus is a great replacement.

Strange how we no longer have the technology to go back to the moon Do you know we can't build another B-52? We don't have the manufacturing equipment and techniques any longer. Yet, I can assure you, there are B-52s around.

If they cut out two of the astronauts they could put me into space with a lady astronaut. Alternatively, they could mount another main engine.

"I know the lunar module pilot for Apollo 16. I’ve known dozens of NASA engineers from that period and Chris Kraft. We went to the moon. As a young guy I ran all of Johnson Space Center. Until I came across John Glen who was getting a ride on STS-95 and I told him he was a dick for bumping someone else who had trained for the flight for years. Oops, no more getting in the back door at Johnson. We went to the moon." Indeed, the challenges now is for NASA to go back. MLD (moon landing deniers) conservatives only weaken the movement.

"Strange how we no longer have the technology to go back to the moon" We do but apparently not to build the Sat. 5 with its F1 engines. For it is not just blueprints that are required, but the persons who knew about all the issues and solutions not written down.

I have watched this “moon mission” unfold and something seems off. I don’t buy this “Blue prints not saved, procedures with viral notes thrown out, everyone who knew the ins and outs are no longer with us” crap.
It makes me wonder. I think about the movie “Capricorn one”. I think about how the veneer is being lifted off our country’s patriotic and noble ‘savior of the free world’ narrative. How our Government has spoon fed us lies about many things over the years that are being revealed like the curtain being pulled back on the Wizard of Oz.
It really wouldn’t surprise me right now watching our country disintegrate into nakedness that maybe those ‘conspiracy theories’ about the moon landing being faked aren’t so far off after all.

We have the technology; we no longer are willing to pay the price.
