He may have started the club. Unless you count Brian Jones, who I never see mentioned.
You tube- billy Roberts Hey Joe; Niela Miller Baby dont go downtown.
Disco killed rock n roll.
I beg to differ: Chuck Berry, an outstanding guitarist and widely loved.
175 million was a lot of do re me in 1969. I doubt Hendrix was worth anything near that. Even today 175 million is a nice pile of shekels.
His net worth today is $175M. It wasnt when he died, nor is it even conceivable that it would have been. Paul McCartney had a net worth of $10M in those days.
=shaking head=
My memory is he was Airborne and had jumped one or twice.
I think he was airborne - broke his ankle on a jump and got discharged.
82nd Airborne
The CURRENT value of Hendrix’s estate is said to be $175 million. It was nowhere close to that when he died.
Santa Barbra University? Never heard of it.
It least it wasnt a ham sandwich that did him in.
Kinda thought it was a dozen barbiturates and choking on his own puke.
Drugs are bad, M’kay?
But now, fck it. The new normal is the majority of data selected to build an argument lacks any foundation except for innuendo, and a LOT of it. What facts there are, are incomplete, as to require the reader to build a bridge to jump from fact to fact.
Now Tupac was killed by National CI? Really? The same CI that had it's brakes beat off them by consecutive administrations after Reagan, only to be significantly restored by Trump? Seriously?
GTFOH.
Gee, so what did they do to kill Janis Joplin whos death was about the same time?
And dont forget Jim Morrison.
How about the Motown guitarists who played on 25 #1 hits in the 60's, and how many other hits? (A few were played on by Dennis Coffey, who is white) How about Bobby Womack, Jimmy Johnson, Pop Staples, Willie Chambers, and probably many others.
Sadly, much of life has been denied the young.
I think they mean UC Santa Barbara.
The definitive story was that Hendrix was airborne. Hendrix himself claimed discharge after a broken ankle, but actually his NCO’s ran him out because he was a poor soldier.
