He nominated a mealy mouthed, weak kneed politician - Jeff Sessions for AG, who failed (avoided?) pursuing Obama/Clinton crimes. Had Sessions done so from day one, the Rats would have been the ones playing perpetual defense for the last 2 years. Sessions loyalty was clearly to the Deep State, not to the President nor to the nation.
Clinton & Co. were slam dunk criminals & everyone knew it. Their indictments & convictions would have forced the MSM to both cover the story & attempt to protect Obama/Clinton, leaving them little time to feature Russian Collusion.
Now, I expect Barr to slow-walk the Obama/Clinton crime spree. Why? Because the Deep State will convince him that to indict Obama/Clinton or any of their underlings would cause a national crisis. Nonsense, of course, it is just what this country needs, but WDC thrives on nonsense.

My feeling is that if Obama deserved even the first six months of his presidency(?)then Mr. Trump should have at least 2 terms.
