I guess I’m too “rigid” to understand their enlightened thinking...
I don’t care what Catholic Bishops like. Perhaps they should stick to religion and get out of politics.
At least not concerned about number of angels on head of pin. The College of Bishops have come so far.

I would have that “the highest foreign-policy priorities of Catholics in America” was given by Christ in Mark 16:15-16 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

Religious freedom in America, religious freedom overseas, support for missionaries overseas, protection of Christians under persecution, Christian immigrants, abortion, stopping the gay agenda, rights of religious based hospitals and other religious organizations, and who knows how many other causes they could have championed.
Instead they champion a hoax that is being advanced to take away our rights.
