Thanks for your response to my post. The problem is that the "retired educator" won't see the post. If someone from that town wishes to excerpt the points made and send them, then such reaction from a local/area resident might make a point with her.

This documents the fact that "progressives" and Obama in particular have turned upside down the real meaning of America's "People's Constitution," promoting the idea that it is the government's constitution to regulate the people. Guess that is why Obama considers it to be a "document of negative liberties"--it negates the ability of mere politicians to impose their will on the rightful "only KEEPERS"(Justice Story) of the Constitution, "the People."

I don't think the author has to consider your rebuttal for it to be stirring. She's probably beyond reach at this stage, anyway. Plenty of others likely have viewed it, and maybe even a wayward leftist soul or three. They will have something to consider if they have an open mind.

We forget sometimes plenty of nonparticipants lurk in the shadows. Point by point, thoughtful arguments are much more effective than simple emotive comments. I'm optimistic that more people recognize the difference than is obvious or necessarily made known to us. And, certainly, it never hurts to introduce to some, and reinforce to others, essential principles of freedom and liberty from the enduring giants (and I don't mean Joe Biden) as they still apply today. That never gets old.
