She's now 68, but she pops up occasionally to rouse rabble.
Weicker should be popular among conservatives because he supported Goldwater in 1964. Being a Nutmegger, he should help the GOP in New England, where it has fared poorly since the 1950's. Weicker is well-respected--he earned the Profiles in Courage award from the John F. Kennedy Foundation for ramming through a state income tax in Connecticut against the wishes of the people.
“Actually you helped me see the light and gave me a new tag line.”
That’s the problem with choosing the lesser of two evils. One is still choosing evil.
At the risk of violating Godwin’s law, I learned that lesson from an elderly Eastern European veteran who had fought under Nazi command. As much as he hated Hitler and Nazism, he believed that Stalin and Communism was worse. And of course he would be correct if good and evil were simply a matter of counting noses.
But that is not the case.
So I am not going to support Romney, who as governor gave us $50 abortions, just because it seems slightly less evil than Obama’s mandate of free abortions. Instead, I will pray for the grace to resist both evils.
You should have included a /sarc tag for those who hail from Rio Linda.
“You should have included a /sarc tag for those who hail from Rio Linda.”

Mittens isn’t a RINO, he’s a DORC - Democrat Obstructing Republican Candidates.
Hillary wouldn’t do it. I don’t know how many would admit it but Democrat voters chose the wrong nominee in 2008.
The movie “My Fellow Americans” has two candidates from opposite camps, one an incumbent president, running together as a team. Bubba for V.P. would stir the pot! (:})
