PF seems to be some kind of nut.
“I prefer to say, ‘lets start something, lets start the world.”
Proof Dennis Hopper was the real brains and talent in that cinematic duo.
I’m pretty sure Peter and Jane Fonda have been living in their own worlds for a long time now.Why start yet another one?
I odn’t know about that. Hopped was blasted out of his mind during the making of the movie, and his original cut was hours and hours long and had to be radically pruned.
Most people here seem to be getting something different from what he said, including the ‘reporter’ of the story. I don’t think he was saying he wanted his grankids to shoot the president, but that because of Obama’s policies, ultimately there would be a new civil war, and he wanted his grandkids ready.
Being a mega-lefty, he’s probably annoyed that Obama is just another Republican or whatever.
“They” stopped a war, and a whole lot of people were killed by a Communist system.
“They” should be ashamed.
now, now, Fonda did say say only to aim at the white half.
Think on what, getting a visit from the Secret Service?
They didn’t stop a war, they made the administration(s) afraid of winning it. Leading to the deaths of tens of thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese.
Speaking of Jane—I wonder what she looks like these days. Does anyone have a recent photo?
It’s a pity that Henry Fonda didn’t have the foresight to use birth control back in the ‘30s and ‘40s (especially the ‘30s). Had he been able to see the future, I’m sure he would have.
And a helluva lot better acting too.
You didn’t “stop” a war, nitwit.
It Peter’ed out.
“Easy Rider” stopped a war...”
Geez, ol’ Fond’a Peters is just as sozzled now as he and Dennis Hophead were then. We watched his movie in Vietnam; the ‘heads liked it for the drug depictions, and rednecks like me liked it because it had a happy ending (they wore out the projector reversing and forwarding the chopper arcing slowly through the air).
“Millions also practice with rifles”
So true. Only I got to practice/qualify at government expense in the reserves until early this year when they forced me to retire. Now I have to use my own ammo. Durn!
;^)
parallel universe alert.
Peter Fonda, now 70 years of age has experienced near death before in his life and Easy Rider was a dark, twisted tale of highs and lows through life on the road. Perhaps Fondas rarest gift to himself was a gunshot wound on his 11th birthday. The accident almost killed him, but luckily it was a stomach wound.
Peter Fonda has a net worth of $40 million.
On his eleventh birthday, he accidentally shot himself in the stomach and nearly died. Years later, he would reference this incident to John Lennon and George Harrison while taking LSD with the Beatles, and claiming “I know what it’s like to be dead”, which ended up becoming an direct influence behind the Beatles song “She Said, She Said”.
He’s so far left he’s almost starting to occasionally seem to be on the right
“What does he have to complain about? If Barack Hussein Obama ain’t far enough left for you, you’ve got problems!”
My guess is that Peter Fonda is of the hard-core communist branch of the left-wing. Him and others hard core ‘communist’ type leftists are not very happy with Obama being that are getting left-wing fascism instead of all out socilaism/communism.
Take the health-care debates for example. The hard core communist style leftist is not happy at all being that they want us to move to a full blown pure socialist system like single payer. What we have now instead is Obamacare which is a very fascist style system of back room deals between companies and the government. Waivers are handed out to cronies, etc...
This is a case of the left-wing communist being angry at his left-wing fascist brotheren.
You have to smile at far Fonda takes his angry rant. He is even says there is no room for sissies. Very racist or phobic, yea right, lol.
Like sister, like brother.
the invisib1e hand -=> “Mr. Fonda played played the priest in “The Maldonado Miracle,”’ which was a nice Catholic cult flick.”
He also played Billy (Il Duce) Connelly’s former partner who arranged the murder of a priest in Boondock Saints II...
You clearly misunderstand (willfully, no doubt), which is exactly what you are expected to do.
