The media is always very busy marginalizing Republicans and conservatives. Nixon was "Tricky Dick", Ford was a klutz, Reagan was a senile old man, Bush was a whimp, his son was an idiot.
On the other side Carter is the elder statesman, klintoon and the hildabeast were the smartest people alive and Zero is being sold as being so intelligent we are incapable, maybe even unworthy of assuming were are on the same plane of intelligence.

It is, perhaps, an inconvenient reality that the IQ of the average republican voter is significantly lower than that of the average democratic voter. That is not to say that there is no such thing as a smart republican, but they do appeal disproportionately to heavy browed, racist, and generally self-centered peoples.
