Exactly! This didn’t come out of the blue, Tax Chick. Parents, teachers, school boards, Rush, Sean, and Bill OReilly, had plenty of warning!
And,,,Ontap,,,I am not dumping it **ALL** on the teachers! But, I sure don’t see much help in fighting this from the chorus of so-called “good” teachers!
So...As this was looming on the horizon, where were all the “good” teachers ( Christian and non-Christian) protesting this travesty? Did you see any news reports of their marching on Sacramento? I surely didn’t.
Did you see any out-of-state opposition from that vast army of “good” teachers working out of state? Gee! There were a lot of out-of-state teachers and their money fighting vouchers in Utah.
There are “good” Christian and non-Christian teachers out there? Really? Is this like a kid’s Invisible Friend?
Sadly, as you say, a lot of parents and kids are going to cook like frogs! And,,,and lot of “good” Christian and non-Christian teachers are going to stoke the fires.
An inspired idea. How about starting with a facility fund -- a facility could be shared by various groups for a start.
What a wonderful way to draw in non-members, teach them sound living and parenting practices, and, **especially** introduce them to the gospel.
Most of all, you are rescuing children one by one!
A Christian’s **most** important mission field is his **own** children. His second most important mission field are the children of his congregation!
You are doing God’s work!
Sadly, there will be no exodus. It’s all about free babysitting. The teachers pretend to teach, the students pretend to learn, and the parents pretend that the teachers are teaching and the children are learning. It’s the rare win-win-win, which is why the whole contemptible system persists generation after generation.
Gee! I wonder why your school doesn’t want the textbooks going home?
And,,,How do you know for sure that your child’s teacher is not teaching from these books?
Are you saying there was a similar law put in place by Mitt in Massachusetts? Got a link?

Wow! What a **wonderful** idea!
Do I understand your correctly? Would the private foundations sponsor individual teachers? Hm?,,,Would this be like an endowed “chair” at a university, except this “chair” would be in a private school?
How about starting with a facility fund — a facility could be shared by various groups for a start.

I completely agree. To that end, our small congregation has operated a preschool for the past few years staffed with teachers who graduated from the aforementioned teacher training school of ours. This dovetails with our vacation Bible school, Easter for Kids, Christmas for Kids, Tenn and Sunday school education programs. All this done with a membership of just under 200.
It has also caught the attentio9n of our enemy...:(
“Does anyone wonder why the Rush Limbaughs and the Sean Hannitys never talk about this?”
I have. Limbaugh used to have regular updates, introduced by the theme, “My Boy Lollipop.” Now it seems like he never mentions it.
What happened?
They say it's because they don't get returned, but I'm not sure that's completely the reason. The only book she brings home consistently is her algebra book.
And,,,How do you know for sure that your childs teacher is not teaching from these books?
Because I communicate with both my daughter and the teachers. I've seen some parts about "global warming" in her science book. Her teacher - who I talk with a lot - does not teach it.
I haven't been able to look at her history book, but I know it's seldom used because both my daughter and her history teacher told me. During parts of the year, they have to teach to the standardized "TAKS" test and much of that is not in the book, either.
It's not perfect, but we're not totally socialist here in Garland, TX, either. We do have one feature different than most of the rest of the DFW area schools - and maybe the rest of Texas...we can choose to attend any school in the district. It's not decided for us by location.
I don’t see anything in that link that indicates that Romney issued an order requiring that homosexuality be taught in schools.

Axiom: ALL Marxists lie!
Scratch a liberal and under his thin skin is a hard core Socialist. Dig a little deeper and you will soon find the Marxist nuclear fuel rod that drives everything he says and does.
Also...remember,,,The teachers in your government schools were all indoctrinated in the Marxist dominated colleges of education.
Okay. . .he didn’t dissolve a pre-existing commission on homosexual youth, didn’t oust the existing people in favor or people he selected. But where is the link that shows he issued an order that required teaching of homosexuality in the schools?
I was in California yesterday and heard a bleeding heart add for more money for public schools.
They forgot to mention how little crowding there’d be without illegal immigrants.
I don’t have a link for that. I see your point, it was all made up, Romney was just a victim of circumstance, going to homo parades, barring the boy scouts from the 2002 Olympics, appointing prominent homosexuals to key positions in his administration, etc.. He didn’t do EXACTLY what Arnold did, but I bet Arnold wouldn’t have done what he did if Romney didn’t do what he did. So it’s all good.
