I wanted to call a temporary cease fire to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. It has been a joy getting to meet all of you on these threads to talk about the Civil War and the honorable men on both side, who did their duty as they saw it.

So from this Southern, I will meet you on my side of the Rappahannock. I have some nice tobacco. Hopefully, you will bring some of that fine northern coffee, for all we have to drink is a dried roots and sweet potato concoction.

Oh, and don't forget the cream!

Thanks for letting me know. One day, I would like to own some of the paintings that have shown up on these threads over the years. I mean besides calendar prints, which I have several matted and framed of Jackson.
