Imagine, if this was a dem president, things would be a completely different tone.

Pretty much. The planets were aligned, and W lost the telescope. What a waste.

Worse than that, I fear. It is more like T.S. Eliot's "April" in
The Wasteland:
April is the cruelest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.
We'd hoped for - and deserved - so much more.

Huh..? Wake up to reality. Do you think the Republicans

What is so absurd is that he types this junk on a keyboard and posts it on the internet, like this made him somebody and President Bush a nobody. It's enough to make tears of laughter roll down your cheeks if it weren't so downright nasty.

This drift has been going on ever since he bragged about his "political capital" after the 2004 election. He wasted it all without accomplishing a single thing except for caving to the Dim's at every opportunity. I agree. At the time, I thought his bragging would bring him nothing but bad luck. Hubris always goes punished.

some posters here are no better than those at DU.

You need to look at the undercurrents, not the stuff in the MSM or pop culture. Demographics (birth rates and immigration) are killing the GOP. In addition, Bush acts counter-intuitively in order to lock the Hispanic vote.
This cheeses off many ordinary Americans, who stay home. The result is the Dems and MSM have a fest by default, not because they are so smart. If Bush would stick with his core, they would still be in poorhouse.

Bush leaves a very small footprint,
for a full two-term president.
The apple rolled very far away from the tree.

Another poster who'd make a better president.

Drift to impotence? He's been going strong at it since 2004.

Then again, we never hear what a success Bosnia is. Oh, and we'd be out of there in 1998.

Ah, I see I've found the thread where they're all congregating today; you know, the "I supported Bush But" crowd.
