As for freaky commercials, Alien and Prophecy both came out about the same time. My parents left me at home alone too...
I liked all those covers, especially the one with Annabelle Lwin (who was underage at the time).
Was that the scene when the vampire was floating up toward the window, over the shoulder of the character on the inside of the window? He was like floating along the ground, pointed forward... freaked me out.
