I wonder how much the gubmint spent on a single mushroom and a single cactus bud? The WODdies make me sick and amuse me all at the same time.

Placer County jail officials said Kubby's release after 40 days behind bars came because of his good behavior in custody and their need to reduce crowding under a federal court order.
What a waste of jail space. Now they have room for a REAL criminal.

This is the one that I find just plain silly. Shrooms grow wild here where I live and in Placer County where Kubby lives. Placer County once sent a man to prison for frog licking. The drug warriors are a strange breed!

His condition stabilized, and Kubby wrote to his jailers and the medical staff apologizing for negative publicity during the first days of his incarceration. It's a first step. If he turns away from the libertarians and the dope, maybe there's hope for him and his family.

It was a waste of taxpayers money. The Feds spent more time prosecuting this guy than they do terrorists and hardened murderers.

The thing that makes this guy unique is that he has fought back. I have often wondered why you don't see anyone who has been busted by the government running around with pro cannabis bumper stickers or similar. There are 10's of millions of people that have had their lives impacted by cannabis arrests. It seems that the answer is that the huge majority of these people just go further under ground and get back to doing what the government tried unsuccessfully to prevent. There are two other categories that I can think of - some of these people decide that cannabis use is wrong or not for them and some DO NOT want cannabis laws relaxed because that individual profits from the status quo.
More tax dollars please.
