Couldn't agree more.
Yes Mr. President start explaining.
It's one of the things that bother me about this administration. Instead of the WH defining their position on any given subject, the media does it for them, which is patently absurd because you know as well as I do, the media hates this administration. The recent Cheney hunting accident story is but one example.
I don't think this WH is secretive. They just don't have the PR team to go out there and tell the American people the "why's, what's, and where's".
You're telling me nothing new.
Joking aside, I did volunteer for him twice in 2000 and 2004. I actually went to Florida for a week in 2004 to volunteer.
Anyone who has to tell complete strangers what they did, probably didn't do it in the first place.
Alot of that could be said about ANYONE on THIS forum. Many here have said I'm a good person, but I don't pretend to know everything.
They won't own the ports, they'll operate them. Most of the ports in this country are owned by the city their located in, the city isn't the operator of those ports.
I look around here sometimes and it's like watching DemocRats during Clinton's Impeachment.
Nope to the first.
I don't believe we are doing enough at the ports, but this agreement has nothing to do with it.
It has nothing to do with security dammit! Where in the heck are you getting your news man?
I am amazed that so many of you have been duped by the liberals and nay saying rinos who are so quick to jump while so misinformed.
Now, tell me that the public in Dubai don't essentially think along the same lines.
+___The Dubai public doesn't own the management company.
Of Bush thinks it's a good deal, then I trust him. I give him the benefit of the doubt...that doesnt make me a Bushbot, either..
I will send you pics of me in Florida with the GOP if you like. I could use a new car, so lets bet say $25,000 on it. Deal or not????????????
Put your money where your mouth is.
Now there is an example to follow, Democrat's not repecting the division of power in the Constitution.
2) Republicans Coolidge and Hoover veteod plenty of bills passed by a Republican controlled Congress. So did Ike during his first term.
Hoover destroyed the Republican Party for a generation.
Ike lost the House which it took 50 years to get back.
I am not too sure about Coolidge, any evidence?
Yes but if legislation in enacted at the state level he'll have no control over it. And that is exactly what some of those states are looking into.
But my point is that the states are looking at legislation at their level already that could block this. That's why it was stupid for him to blurt out veto, he can't do jack to stop what the states themselves do.
Some of the states involved, certainly not Florida (big shock there), are looking into what they can do to stop the deal including state legislation. Bush will have no control over that so it was stupid of him to mention the veto when an end around on him can be performed and the state level.
Which is why it was idiotic of him to even mention the veto. Whatever adviser told him to mention it should be fired.
And how is that relevant to this discussion???
Bush wants to stop federal legislation blocking the deal which may occur before the states do whatever they are going to do.
It is not stupid in that sense.
